Invert just kills this

Or if you control it, makes it a 8/1 after no blocks are declared

When you cast Invert, the trigger to get +1/+0 goes on the stack on top, so it resolves first, becoming an 1/8, and then Invert resolves, making it an 8/1 until end of turn.

Actually, I think invert still kills it because it would gain +1/0 becoming a 1/8 then swap becoming a 9/0. I might have my effect layering wrong so if someone knows for sure please chime in.

so like, if you cast Murderous Cut even for just B its still gonna be +5/+0. Casting Commit will boost him by 10, and if we're playing standard, you probably cast Response, outright killing whatever is blocking this guy or reducing their hitpoints by 5 for more trample damage, and then pumping him by 7.

Only issue is that phat cmc, 4 isn't allow it playability in Modern. I'm sure he will be ending games in standard.
