This comes down to what you are ultimately trying to do. In my opinion, this would take the place of spell pierce/spell snare in a SB of merfolk more than anything. I dont think this really belongs in control, as usually you remand to get a better counter or to adjust the tempo of a game. I feel like this would be best stuited in an aggro deck, where you only need one more turn to kill or to stop a wrath on t4/5. You can also chalice on 1 and still be able to cast this, instead of turning off pierce/snare.

But this can stop uncounterable cards for a turn?

Unlike Remand, this is card disadvantage.

If you have this in your gy.. and a jace vryn flipped.. its a great target to minus on... then proceed to attack and if they cast avacyn you can use it (instant speed) if not, bounce something after combat.



Seems rad in that instance.

Nice ability to add to an Unsummon for a little more versatility. Still a tempo play that leaves you down a card, but tempo plays can be good for sure.
