Seems like a premium constructed uncommon considering some of the 2 drops that have seen standard play in the past.

A grizzly bear with vigilance and trample that can be played on turn 3 fairly frequently as a 5/5.

Sign me up.

Strictly better Kavu Titan with a lower rarity. I'm glad they know that Kavu Titan hasn't aged well at all. The Fatal Push test kind of hurts it, but other than that it's nice to have this kind of split-card creature for the most part. Seems inferior to Scavenging Ooze to me.

Pretty good. 2/2 vigilance/trample for 2 is okayish and same counts for 5/5 vigilance/trample for 5. Both options are just very slightly below what you want at that mana point and the flexibility will make up for it I think and make a solid standard card. Curve fillers like this are very valuable in standard.

Both vigilance and trample are keywords that scale strongly with stats. This isn't great played as a 2-drop, even in limited, but as a 5-drop you can play when you're screwed it's a solid 3rd or 4th pick.

With all the mana dorks in the format, I think this is one of those secretly powerful cards. Imagine this:
Turn 2: Elfhame Druid
Turn 3: this kicked

A turn 3 5/5 with Vigilance AND Trample is pretty powerful. And that's ignoring the other awesome green cards in Dominaria, especially Llanowar Elves and Steel Leef Champion.

Hmmm... Definitely awesome for limited.

I'd note that a turn 3 Kavu has an advantage over a turn 2 Steel Leaf Champion in that the Kavu can trade profitably with a Rekindling Phoenix (surviving combat and dealing damage). Might be worth packing a couple of these in the sideboard for that specific reason.
