Can we stop and appreciate for a moment how messed up it is that they think it's fine to print this card, when we still have access to Teferi, Time Raveler, to make it an instant, and thus can slot it into the Jeskai Lucca deck, enabling us to fetch the sole creature in our deck (e.g. Ulamog) during the opponent's end step. At least with Lucca, they have a full turn to kill it before it is a threat--with this card, they have literally no opportunity to respond because Teferi 3 locks them down.

Well, technically it's "Suspended" which isn't the same as banned. Perhaps it's close enough. It's not restriced at all in Standard though.

Transmogrify at least has a random aspect to it and gets you one semi-free creature.

If you think there's ANY similarity in power between Transmogrify and Fires of Invention, you don't understand why that card was so good.

Yes, you can put just one creature in your deck and remove the randomness, but there's easier ways to cheat big things into play. Besides, putting just one creature in your deck and then relying on that one creature to win you the game is not exactly a safe proposition.

RIght? They ban Fires cause free spells OP. They ban Wintoa cause free creatures OP. Then they make this???
