If you don't have an immediate answer for this in Limited, you just straight lose. This breaks board stalls wide open and can easily swing for 11 by itself.

If a creature is put onto the battlefield attacking, its controller chooses which defending player or which planeswalker a defending player controls it’s attacking as it enters the battlefield (unless the effect that put it onto the battlefield specifies what it’s attacking). Such creatures are “attacking” but, for the purposes of trigger events and effects, they never “attacked.”

With the trigger it attacks, right? Its not around at the declare attackers step sure.

Well that's no fun. Its still a good addition to that sort of deck I suppose on account of being 7/7 and flying.

Don't think it would well with Illharg - the creature enters attacking, so no effect, but it'd be a big flyer, reanimator would be good.

You could also throw it in with Ilharg, the Raze-Boar or into reanimator. You have options.

This thing would be great as a small number in a Big Red-style deck.

Well honestly if mono red hasn't won or lost by the time they get this on board I think its fair to say they deserve the near-certain win for using this guy. I like how it wrecks superfriends in particular (again assuming it isn't immediately answered, and there's no particular shortage of answers out there)

The flavor text in this set is seriously on-point.

This is basically the definition of a limited bomb card.

Why to complicate the ability with 4 and 3 and 3 damage? Why not just "it deals 3 damage to each of up to three targets"? I really doubt that the extra point of damage was worth the complicated wording.

This is the definition of poor design IMO:

(1) inelegant text - as somebody posted, why not just 3 lightning bolts?

(2) totally imbalanced in limited. There is just no way of recovering from a reusable one sided board wipe that is dealing you 7 damage.

(3) probably not playable in constructed.

Is this thing designed for Oathbreaker?
