Amazing art. I think her alternate cost is certainly doable. She's quite potent once out, but I wish she made herself indestructible.

Lets say you tap all your creatures. You still have a 7/7 lifelink defender. Good odds it will eat the biggest thing coming your way on turn what ... 4 or 5 when you can drop it. Also gain you 7 life. Making it also indestructible would mean that outside of a counterspell its hopeless to attack you. Murder can do something, as opposed to being a dead card in your opponent's hand for the rest of the game.

It's not all that unfair. To do this you'll have to leave yourself no attackers or defenders and still pay mana, the spell can still be countered or the creature removed, etc.

Do you really think having your entire board be indestructible on turn 3 or 4 is in any way fair? I remind you she's a 7/7 flying lifelink that can be played for roughly the cost of Venerated Loxodon if you commit to the flying theme and that is well supported.

Edit - Spark Double. White/blue flying is gonna be a thing anyway, now you can have your wish.

The 4 untapped creatures don't even need to be white creatures, like white sometimes requires.

For EDH, is the commander tax added on to the W for the alternate casting cost?

The difference between this and Yuriko or Derevi, is that they have colons, {1}{G}{W}{U}:Put Derevi onto the battlefield. {U}{B};Return an unblocked creature you control to your hand: Put Yuriko onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Because they have colons they are abilities, whereas Sephara just has an alternative casting cost. That isn't necessarily bad though because the third time you put her into play is when she is taxed enough to equal her normal mana cost.

If i'm reading it right, it should work like Yuriko and Derevi. So there would be no tax added to the alternate casting cost.

Yuriko and Derevi are directly put onto the battlefield, Sephara is still cast, so the commander tax still applies.
