Works surprisingly well with mill cards.

I like it. At worst, you're betting that your best card is better than their best card, and you can hedge your bet with some removal or mill. A combo deck is always gonna benefit more from this card than most opponents, since pulling integral combo pieces is stronger than any one card your opponent could find.

Solid card.

This is stupidly good in any sort of team game, since you aren't required to choose an opponent.


Going to be solid in EDH too. There are often those moments where if someone doesn't answer 1 player's board state before that player's next turn, the game will be over. Letting multiple players tutor for answers for one black mana is great.

Ashiok/mill. Discard. Jace. You can turn off search effects for opponent. This card is going to get banned.

In Two-Headed Giant, this is an Imperial Seal for you and your teammate with no life loss. That's clearly balanced and not busted at all. Since it also forces a search, this works incredibly well with Ob Nixilis, Unshackled.
