Edit: Misread the card to say "player" instead of "opponent"... and this doesn't kill planeswalkers like hexmage does...

I guess that this hurts energy, experience counters, and very specific voltron decks? Anything that keeps counters from being accrued has the potential to be broken in the future, though... especially with a cheap cost and big butt.

It CAN remove poison counters... from your opponents.
Reread the card. It does not let you target yourself.

EDIT: As in you replace solemnity with this. Doesn't hate as well but is cheaper.

Well you could remove poison counters from yourself but you would have to have a means of flashing this in on your opponents turn at the same time you would need to be controlling your opponents turn.

Misread the card. However if your opponent had Desertion in their hand and you have a means of flashing this in and you were controlling your opponents turn then you could effectively remove poison counters from yourself

Okay, you can unban anything Energy related now. This is even bolt-proof (or Lightning Strike, if you must).

Yeah, this was a wildly missed opportunity for Wizards. Oh well, maybe next time.
