Sort of a win condition that protects itself. Not board wipe proof though, and I'm wondering about the flash synergy for this card, is it just a control finisher so they gave it flash?

This actually made me start brewing for EDH. A fun flexible control commander that has multiple routes it can go? Seems pretty cool!

Think of flash as pseudo-haste. Along with a way to say to your opponent "I have seven untapped mana, do you want to come at me?". And finally a way to sort of untap your lands.

For example, you flash him in during your opponent's end phase, your opponent can't counterspell him. Your opponent needs other instant speed answers to respond, but because of Chromium's built-in protection, it may not be worth it if you have cards in hand. Then during your turn, your lands untap so you can equip and/or enchant Chromium and swing since Chromium isn't affected by summoning sickness.

Since Chromium becomes unblockable in his human form, you can also choose for a strategy that uses Quietus Spike and Scytheclaw to whittle away your opponent's health without going for just 3 hit KO with just commander damage.

Basically one of the more straight forward and flexible control legendarys.

Pretty efficient and terrifying top end finisher. Pretty much the only way to kill this thing is to run a flying blocker and shoot it with removal, or play an expensive and clunky boardwipe spell against Mr. Untapped Blue Mana Man.

So, he turns into Invisible Stalker. Cool.
