That’s exactly what I am excited about. I think this angel is what proc is missing if you go on a build that fits a sun titan in the 75 for in case you can’t get Emeria online in time for decks that run push or bolt. That’s if your not playing the planeswalker package. I’m curious to see what the community does to fit the angel into the 75.

Yessssss. A decent enough 3 CMC Angel helps. I love Emancipation Angel, but it's nice to have more options. Especially with Lyra Dawnbringer around.

I've long been brewing a Modern Angels deck, too. There are many, but I've been searching for something that really worked for me. It's had multiple iterations, originally using counterspells like Mana Tithe and Lapse of Certainty to hold off until Quicksilver Amulet could power out big Angels. Then I tried devotion ramp.

These days, I'm considering less mono-white and more GW or maybe Naya. Certainly the ramp could help. Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Lyra are amazing new additions to the strategy. These days, rather than trying to cheat out high-powered Angels, I'm thinking maybe top out around Lyra and Sigarda, have Linvala, Keeper of Silence (possibly as a sideboard tech), and stuff like either Archangel of Tithes or Angel of Jubilation as great fodder for Lyra.

I think it's doable! Gonna work on ideas, anyway. This card alone gave me some renewed hope.

Holy cow. Just realized how scary this is with Lyra. Each swing from Lyra makes another Serra angel... which gets +1/+1 and lifelink... and there's a third angel costed between them that gives everything hexproof...

Angels are going to be serious business in standard.

This is a pretty powerful answer for mono-red shenanigans in that if you're playing this alongside Lyra, it will be more difficult to burn out your opponent before they're able to kick this online. That said, it also makes Unlicensed Disintegration and a variety of other removal spells better in the process. Army-in-a-can creatures are always a powerhouse though. Also: crews Heart of Kiran on-curve...

Are you kidding me? This is the most pushed creature they've made so far. 3 MANA?

Just ordered some Lyras before the price spikes....

i like how with Lyra out the token made is a Lyra! (minus first strike but with vigilance) which makes gaining 5 each turn easier
