Need some ideas for the Magic: The Gathering player in your life this coming holiday season? Or maybe you like to turn cardboard sideways yourself and are looking for a fair few deals to snag a few extras for yourself during Black Friday? We’ve got you covered with our MTG Holiday Gift Guide 2025 Edition.
Whether it’s deck boxes, sleeves, carriers, or gift bundles of our favorite cards, there are plenty of deals out there to make any TCG player happy this holiday season. Read on for some of our picks.
Ultra Pro
Ultra Pro 5 Color Deck Box Bundle - $9.59 (Normally $11.99): Nab a few basic deck boxes to keep your cards safe in your bag next time you’re on the way to your local game store. These boxes come in 5 colors, and will hold 80 standard-sleeved cards. Not great for Commander players, but something to use for your next Standard or Modern RCQ.
Black Friday Playmat Mystery Sale - $21.99 (Before Mystery Sale Discount applied): Ultra Pro’s playmats seem to be undergoing their own mini-sale. There is a Mystery Playmat option where, for about $22 (before the mystery discount is applied), you can order a random playmat to add to your collection. Other playmats, such as the Final Fantasy Traveling Chocobo Holofiol Playmat are also part of the sale, with their own mystery discount applied once you put it in the cart (as of the writing of this piece, the discount was about 28% off).
Ultra Pro is also running a sale on Card Sleeves, with much of their line-up, from the Apex sleeves to Eclipses on offer for Buy One, Get One 50% off.
Heavy Play
Heavy Play is running a promotion from November 24th through November 30th. While there doesn’t seem to be individual product discounts, if your total sale exceeds certain thresholds, you qualify for specific discounts. For orders over $100, you’ll net 15% off; $200 gets your 20% off; $300 is 25% off.

Each $100 spent will also enter you in a sweepstakes to take home the Pink Collection, a $600 value consisting of the following:
- 1x ETB Playmat - $60
- 1x ETB Playmat TUBE - $60
- 1x RFG Deckbox 80 DS - $30
- 1x RFG Deckbox 100 DS - $30
- 1x RNG Dicebox - $30
- 1x RFG Deckbox MAX 80 DS - $60
- 1x RFG Deckbox MAX 100 DS - $60
- 1x RFG Deckbox MAX 133 DS - $70
- 1x RNG Dicebox MAX - $60
- 1x RFG Deckbox CARRIER - $120
- 1x CURV Sleeves - $20
I’m personally a huge fan of Heavy Play’s gear, especially when it comes to protecting my expensive cardboard with their deckboxes, and I’m particularly fond of my Counterspell-inspired ETB Playmat I bought from them at PAX West earlier this year. Definitely give them a look if you’re interested in a higher-end option for your cards compared to some of the competitors.
Ultimate Guard
Ultimate Guard doesn’t seem to be running any deals, but you can still find their deckboxes, sleeves, and more on both their store and their Amazon storefront. I especially like their Sidewinder deckboxes, with the premium-feel Xenoskin products still impressing me years after buying my first one.
Ultimate Guard’s Katana Sleeves are also considered among the best in the industry, and are my preferred choice of sleeve (though Ultra Pro’s Apex sleeves are slowly taking that crown the more I use them).
Gamegenic
Gamegenic is running massive Black Friday Deals on their Amazon storefront, with discounts up to 29% off their gear. This means you can nab one of their Strongold 200+ XL Deckboxes at $40.99 (MSRP $55.99), or their Token Silo XL for $20.49 (MSRP $24.99), among others.
Gamegenic’s storefront also has Sleeves, playmats, and other gear that aren’t necessarily on sale, but are affordable options for your Magic: the Gathering friend as nice stocking stuffers.
Stocking Stuffers
Here are some quick hit recommendations for stocking stuffers to help your MTG player out at their next FNM!

- Dry-Erase Tokens:
- Infinitokens - The original dry-erase token. Prices start at $19 and go on up, with a 50-pack of blank, double-sided tokens setting you back $39.90 on the official Etsy store. You can also nab some tags and counters to add to the fun, or buy the Gift bundle to mix and match the products to your liking!
- Booster Packs:
- Grab a pack of your favorite set, from Final Fantasy to Ravinca for your friend to enjoy cracking! Feel like splurging? Throw in a Collector Booster pack for good measure.
- Dice Counters
- Whether it’s tracking +1/+1 counters on your creatures or adding an ability keyword like Flying or Vigilance, dice are a staple at any MTG table. Check out this set of dice, with 63-dice from + counters, - counters, ability keywords, and even Planeswalker loyalty counters, on sale on Amazon right now.
- Just need some dice that look good and are legible enough for your next Spelltable game or stream? Grab some Vegas-style D6 dice.
- Metal Counters
- Don’t want to use dice for your counters or ability markers? Citadel Black has reversible tokens you can slap onto your creature during your next game. A 24-pack comes with a drawstring bag to store them all in, running you a cool $12.97.
- Dragon Shield Sleeves:
- Star City Games has Dragon Shields, considered by many Magic players as the best-in-class for sleeving their deck, for 20% off.

Commander Staples
- Pre-Con Decks
- Need a quick deck to get your favorite Commander player? Grab a single deck, such as Final Fantasy’s Scions & Spellcraft for $44.99 on Amazon, or nab a full set of decks for your pod, like Tarkir: Dragonstorm’s five Dragon-flavored decks for $149.99.
- Commander Masters
- Want to crack some packs full of cards designed specifically to help bolster your next Commander deck build? If you can swing it, grab a box of Commander Masters from Amazon and hold a Commander Draft during the holidays.
- Show off your Commander
- Kabinka has a Commander Deck Box that fits up to 400 cards, including fancy windows to showcase your Commander when you hit the table. The box also includes a dice tray, as well as 4 magnetic one-touch holders for your Commander - all for $39.98.
- Heavy Play is also a great option for your Commander player who wants the best protection for their deck while also showing off the face card of their Game Changer pile. The RFG Deckbox Max runs about $60 for the 100 Double-Sleeved version, while the 133DS option will set you back $70. Buy one of these and a dicebox that can attach magnetically, and you’ll qualify for the raffle with a chance to win $600 worth of Heavy Play gear. I can’t recommend them enough, especially with so many blinged-out Commander decks floating around there.
