Commentary
Core 19 finally takes a good dip, with set value and box ev both dropping 5%. Even Bolas loses a large chunk of his previous gains. Nothing in this is surprising, however, as new set hype begins to slump. Sai, Master Thopterist is the standout here, having doubled over the past two weeks. He is seeing play in Standard, Modern, and even Brawl. With all of the key cards from Kaladesh block rotating soon, his longevity in Standard and Brawl is highly questionable. His popularity in Modern, however, is not. Krark-Clan Ironworks Combo has seen a surge recently, taking up as much as 5% of the meta. Even in the decks that don't play him main deck, he sees sideboard play. Unless KCI falls out of favor quickly, I expect Sai to have a long march upward in price.

Commentary
Dominaria has been ticking up these past few weeks, breathing hope into its financial future. It still has a good ways to go before it loses its poor financial state, but we're heading in the right direction. Teferi leads the charge, having now usurped Bolas as the premier mythic in all of Standard. He's not alone, however, as many within the set see positive growth. This is the more important trend, as it might offer a financial future not dependent upon only a select few.

Commentary
Rivals saw a large profusion of small movements, but it all evened out, and we saw no real change to the total set value. There's no singular movement that stands out, and the only discernible trend is that of continued mid-level growth. The bulk of a box's value is in these mid-level cards, and Rivals has thus been growing well where it counts.

Commentary
Much like its successor, Ixalan saw a good deal of minor movement that evens itself out. Almost all of this is basic fluctuations, and no big developments is a welcome thing here. It might not be exciting, but Ixalan remains the strongest set in returned value, and the go-to choice for box cracking.

Commentary
Nimble Obstructionist settles after its spike last week, and The Locust God falls back to his release price. Only Razaketh, the Foulblooded shows real growth, and with his market price being larger than his median listing, I am highly suspect that some abnormal sale has skewed his numbers.

Commentary
Gideon of the Trials has hit his lowest price point ever, and is a great target for rotation grabs. Although his spotlight in Standard has been minimal, he has seen more significant play in Modern. He's been featured in control builds, "Gideon tribal" builds, and has even been seen in some Ad Nauseam combo decks. As more Gideon cards are printed, the potential for this Gideon rises. It's decently reasonable to expect that at some point the "right" Gideon will be printed, and Gideon of the Trials will spike hard. I always advise against a gamble, but the odds here are well in our favor.

Commentary
After a year and a half, Aether Revolt still has an estimated return near its price point. This is heavily bolstered by Inventions, but it's still quite amazing. There is no denying that Inventions worked well for this set. The returns have always been good - even if it took a few boxes to realize them - and the price points of its rares have been well within reach of the more budget-friendly players. It was mostly a win-win scenario. Only those who tried to buy one or two boxes got the brunt end, with box deviation being abnormally high. It seems an acceptable trade off, and if the Masterpiece series could always work this well, we'd definitely want it to stay.

Inventions remains flat, comparatively speaking, although the bit of gains we do see may be the beginnings of the ever march upward for years to come.
Parting Thoughts...
There was little notable movement this week. A quiet market is only a bad thing when it's a ghost town, and the myriad of small movements showed that the market is alive and well. We've seen some high profile tournaments in the past few weeks, and market movement is simply catching its breath before the next wave.
