Update: Account merging will go live one day later, on 9/26
Recently, we provided users the ability to merge their MTGSalvation account with a new or existing Twitch account. With Twitch account merging, we’re able to provide more streamlined account security, faster user support, and an easier log-in process. Now, we’d like to extend these benefits to all MTGSalvation users.
Starting on Sept 25th, all users will need to merge their MTGSalvation account with a new or existing Twitch account. If you’d like to merge your account before Sept 25th, you can do so here.
Merging your account into a Twitch account takes less than a minute, and you won’t lose any account data. Your display name, forum posts, and comments won’t be impacted at all. After merging accounts, you’ll simply log in using your Twitch credentials.

I just hope that you don't have to make us do this again. That would be a little much.
We wouldn't need to go through this anything like this again.
The process takes less than 2 minutes, and you don't have to ever go watch anything on twitch if you don't like that sort of thing.
I merged with twitch when the option first came up.
I see absolutely no difference browsing/using mtgs.
While the complaint some people have is that it's putting more eggs in one basket, if all of the eggs have the same information and a hacker only needs one of them.. One basket with all that information is better than a dozen baskets with all that information.
When did Twitch acquire MTGSalvation? Did the users add the opportunity to ask their personal information to be removed before the merge happened?
Everybody who paid for your MTGS account, raise your hands
So, hypothetically, if you are given a hot dog, you're not entitled to being assured that it is reasonably safe (not diseased, rotten, etc - no parasites, no mold on the bun, etc)?
I mean, I'd say there is some extent in which your statement makes sense, but as an absolute doesn't seem logical.
Reddit: "You're absolutely going to die from this cancer"
But...
Kinda wanna stay, since this is kind of the biggest MTG forum out there.
Decisions, decisions...
The process takes less than 2 minutes. If you're not into twitch/streaming or any other site, you won't see much benefit, but there'll be no drawback or anything either. Using MTGS will be the same as it always is.
The tone of this post is fairly insulting. You aren't providing us with an opportunity, your being forced to do this because the *****ty host got bought. At least be honest. Something like "Curse is now going to be using twitch accounts for logins, so you all need to sign up for twitch." Honest, no spin, no bull*****.
The security I've touched on several times here. The ease of login is definitely better if you use any other Curse/Twitch site. If you don't, I understand that's not a real benefit. The Twitch user support is definitely high caliber.
Moreso, there are things that are being looked into down the road that could give many users benefits they can see more readily.
