The giveaway will end on the 10th February at 5PM CST, just 7 days from now!
It just made control so much more fun to play. I've always been a sucker for cantrips and this is the pinnacle of cantrips.
I'm an EDH player at heart. I play competitive standard and legacy but nothing makes me happier than EDH so that is what I have to base my card on. There are many reasons why Damia is my favorite but I'll list the top 3.
1. Colors. It's BUG, BUG is a wedge that has been played for years in Legacy and to this day still sees a large amount of play. It combined the high skill level cards of blue with the linear destruction of green and the oppressive control of black. This is my favorite tri-color combination by far and always brings a smile to my face.
2. How versatile she is in how she plays. Her effect can fit into all 3 of the major archetypes of decks. With combo she makes it so that you can develop your hand and eat through your deck, and even gives birth to some pretty nifty combos herself. In control you don't have to worry about card advantage and utilizing valuable mana and turns to keep your ammunition high. She makes sure you always have enough for an answer. If you like aggro decks she fixes that pesky problem of you dumping your hand and hoping its enough to kill your opponent. Did your opponent just do something to wipe the board? Great, just resummon Damia and fill it up again!
3. Her art. I've always been a huge fan of Steve Argyle but on this particular piece he's out done himself. The detail that has gone into not only her but her library or trinkets and potions that surrounds her throne is amazingly well done and incredibly made. I feel like every time I look at that card I can find something new to fixate on
That's definitely my top 3 reasons to love Damia and why she's my main EDH deck out of the 21 I have. I love playing her and hopefully one day I'll get an alter and a custom print of her by Steve though he's a little bogged down from work. Anyways have fun playing everyone!
Throw goblin, do damage, hopefully win. Perfect.
Still on the bucket list to doom blade an Emrakul
sooooo much value, and at uncommon too. Wizards, what were you thinking?
