You are not your blog entry.
With that said, let me explain a little about myself. My username and avatar, for those who don't know, refer to the antagonist of the novel/movie Fight Club. If you haven't seen it/read it, go do it, right now. It's my favorite movie, and that's saying something, because I don't like a ton of movies, and find flaws in almost every one I see nowadays. Say what you want about Brad Pitt, after I saw him in that role, he changed my moviegoing experience. His character was so random, so hilarious, so brutal, that I had to steal his name for the MTGS forums. So there you go.
Wait, this is a Magic forum? Alrite, I guess I'll talk a little about that. I've been playing Magic since Tempest, took a break around Urza's, came back around Onslaught, and have been transitioning in and out of Magic since. I do like to play competitively, as I am a Spike through and through, but only when tournaments are available to me. My favorite color is Black, because I just love death magic to...well...death. It's just my style of play: I'd much rather kill a creature than try to get around it with higher toughness like Green does, or try to counter it like Blue does. If I can't remove a creature, I get frustrated, so I often play Black or Red. My favorite colors go in this order, from most to least liked: Black>Red>Green>White>Blue. It's just more fun to kill creatures than to have to worry about them.
So now you know a little about me. I'll be popping in and out of the blog (ugh..) section of MTGS to give my Black-hearted, Spikey insight about cards, decks, or ideas in general. Until then,
Tyler Durden
Black is among my triad of favorite colors. And Fight Club is my favorite movie too (as I've told you), but I like countering things better. After all, I'm blue in the color pie. Then comes a tie between White and Black. I love them the same. My fascination for clerics influences this, and my equal love for Akroma and Phage. Then comes green, and last the impulsive, idiotic R who never thinks ahead (did I mention those are things I HATE in people too), and the least thing I am from the color pie, is red. I love killing creatures but I get bored and wish for another alternative. So there you go, the complete Esper shard: say no, say never, say 'you fail.' And speaking about failing, I think CrovaxtheCursed couldn't more WRONG. I HATED 12 Monkeys, it's one of the movies that bored me the most. As 100% predictable as The Sixth Sense. I don't like Bruce Willis doing action/horror. I like better in drama (my favorite role by him so far was in Fast Food Nation).
Disagreeing with Tyler Durden and agreeing with him at the same time, I think Tyles is actually the PROTAGONIST in the movie (come on, you don't need a sopiler to prove that it's true). But he is indeed nihilistic, and 49% B, 49% R, and 2% U, in my perception.
Back to movie comparisons, Fight Club, as opposed to 12 Monkeys, makes you come... in every sense of that sentence...
