Half of the national team banned

Ok, I'm probably exaggerating, but still, wow. I never saw this coming, at least 4 of the most succesful players in Chile were banned just a couple of days ago. I really don't know what to think.
At what point bribery is really bribery? Does it count if you'd share your prizes no matter the result since you're a team?
Are they really the top players one used to think they were? I've seen plenty of questionable behavior on the capital, I admit, but aside from some rudeness I never thought of calling a judge. I'm having so many doubts as to what counts as an infraction right now...
