12/16 FNM Draft

I drafted some excellent bombs this time around, yet I lost my first match to some annoying Avacynian Priests constantly tapping down my werewolf army.

I felt okay being three-color with the amount of mana fixing I had: Caravan Vigil, ghost Quarter, Traveler's Amulet, and a Mulch that I cut from the deck after the first game.

One player dropped, so I had a bye the second round, and I cleaned house my third round. Unfortunately, this put me in... I think fourth place. Frown

12/10 Sealed PTQ

Well, I had a very decent aggressive deck without any ****ing super bombs. My most threatening card was probably Creepy Doll which very easily got shut down by Bonds of Faith. When that happened, I just threw it at my Skirsdag Cultist, which was not too effective this tourney. I had no token-makers and only one creature control spell. I won my first two matches very easily, had two more tense matches I ultimately lost, and then lost the fifth and sixth matches. By that point, I was definitely out of the running for prizes, and so I dropped to go spend the rest of the night with my not-yet-boyfriend.

12/6 Sealed

The bombiest card in my sealed pool was Olivia Voldaren again. Luckily my red was also pretty darn strong. I had Burning Vengeance but I had only one red card with flashback, so it wasn't worth it. I splashed green for Spidery Grasp since I didn't have much in the way of flying answers. At first I splashed a little more green and had two Forests, but I got color starved too much. I settled my deck on one Forest, one Traveler's Amulet, and the grasp, giving me a 5/6 chance of having the green when I needed it. I lost the first match, won the second, lost the third, and then dropped and went home so I could go to bed on time (failed).

12/2 FNM Draft

I managed to build a pretty decent aggro deck. I think I'm getting better at keeping BREAK in mind. I wound up with a higher mana curve than I expected, so I went 17 lands (one of which was a Shimmering Grotto so I could access a blue to flashback Desperate Ravings in a pinch. First match I went 2-0, second match I got slaughtered 0-2, and third match was 1-1 when we ran out of time. out of 6 players, four of us (including me) tied for second place.
11/29 Sealed

I built a pretty decent white/black weenie-ish deck, but I lacked good removal. I had a Geistflame I splashed red for (also towards my Rally the Peasants]' flashback cost), but that wasn't enough. I lost 0-2 my first match (but that was before I fired Endless Ranks of the Dead from my deck), I won 2-0 my second match, and I lost 0-2 my third match. I was tired, so I dropped before match 4. I pretty much won when Mikaeus or Liliana came out and lost when they didn't. I was so disappointed with Unbreathing Horde. I never had enough zombies on the field to make him worth it, and I only sometimes had enough so that he would not die from SBE.

11/8 Sealed

I grabbed a very strong red and white pool (I really wanted to use Champion of the Parish), and not too many black vampires, but I opened Olivia Voldaren in a pack and had to grab her. So I splashed black for her. I didn't have too much mana fixing, but I did okay. IIRC, I won 2 match and lost 2 matches. I didn't get to pull of saccing a Traitorous Blooded creature though, sadly.

11/7 Draft

I had a lot of consistency in this deck: two-of of many of my creatures. I believe I went 1/2 on matches, but of course this is too long ago to remember. I could have really used a Kessig Wolf Run in this deck, with all my werewolves! This deck suffered a lack of removal. I had two removal spells. Frown

11/4 FNM Draft

I attempted a self-mill token-making deck and originally included Cellar Door and Parallel Lives. I thought they would be so fun with Kessig Cagebreakers, but it just didn't work fast enough for the format with all the other non-tokens in the deck. I also went high on the card count due to the self-milling. I think I lost all three matches. I took so long getting around to posting this, that I have forgotten! And I never had enough creatures in my graveyard for my blue zombies Frown I suppose three colors with a splashed fourth for flashback wasn't the best idea either... I really wanted to grab a homunculus-maker too.
