so like alot of mtg players i have a lot of cards more than i could even think of lifting at once, so im building to items to help me one is a dresser system with a series of drawers and a chest top for most of my collection. the drawers are roughly 24"x24" made of 1"x6" with 24inch drawer slides, with a plywood bottom with a sub frame for support. each drawer has dividers. the sides of the dresser are made of three 1"x8" and one 1"x4". the back is mostly going to be 1/4" plywood and two 1"x4".
the other item im making is a luggage that will be on wheeles and the dimensions are roughly16"x"16"x25" all hard wood and the handle is 1"wooden dowels and 3/8" dowels.
Sounds like a good plan. I would sort of add that you might want to make the drawers removable that way you can pull them out and move one drawer at a time. This would allow you to go grab you W card or whatever and bring them over to a table to sort or look for one. It would also help when moving as generally speaking things like that can bit a total ***** to lift the whole thing at once so you can pull them out one drawer at a time and move the dresser empty.
