Another FNM Splinterfright showing

If you haven't heard, my favorite UG Splinterfright deck has gotten some serious facelifts lately. It's getting more tuned with every waking minute, especially thanks to some overtime-esque devotion in the Standard Dredge Thread on these very forums. If you haven't seen that place yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. And read the posts.

That said, I'm taking the new(er) and improved(er) deck to FNM tomorrow. This will be the second week in a row, which is kind of a feat for me. Usually I switch things up more than that... or just have plans. Eh, so it goes.

Here's the current list.

What you'll probably notice is that I have a ... fairly odd sideboard. That's because I'm in a heavily Wolf Run meta, with a splash of UB control, a splash of Zombies, and another splash of Heartless Lich. Yeah, it's just odd. Still, this is what I'm taking into battle. I like my odds.

- Tracker's Instincts has proven itself to be a tremendously powerful card. It's exactly what this deck was needing.
- I still run 2x Mulch over Dream Twist because I just love the land draw. I know, it mills 2 fewer (for 1 less), and it's worthless in the yard, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.
- Llanowar Elves are back, and I really don't miss the Boneyard Wurms at all.
- Bellowing Tanglewurm and Kessig Cagebreakers fight for the single 5CMC slot, and it's all based on what deck I'm up against.
- Yes, the lands look a little wonky with the Copperline Gorge in there, but it doubles as both a way to cast sb Ancient Grudge or mb flipped-Nightfall Predator's fight ability.
