What a day. I wake up early this morning hearing messages from a friend and I pop on, only for my LCD to flicker, and then turn off. And not come back on. Then after 3 hours it comes on, but it only displays an image for 1 second, then dies again. I looked up this problem, and it seems the backlight has been shot or there's something wrong with the wiring. Oye.

So I'm in need of a new monitor. I'm broke, so I need your help.

Update: The cards are sold, and I should be getting a new one as early as tomorrow.

Have you tried taking apart the monitor? If it flickers then it might just be a loose connection. Otherwise your local used computer store should have some really old and outdated stuff for cheap
