The [Magic CoffeeHouse].

On April 19th, 2006, the single greatest clan ever created on MTGSalvation, and the single greatest (string of) thread(s) came to the forums. The Magic Coffeehouse.

If you don't know what it is, go here. Read all of it. ALL OF IT. Omna15 and Arguas2617, the clan's founders, have become two very dear friends of mine, as have a great deal of the Regular members on the Coffeehouse. The Coffeehouse is the single largest clan entity on MTGSalvation. It's an Overclan, but it's still awesome. I want to take this blog entry to personally address and thank each and every Regular on the Coffeehouse.

Omna15: Oh, Danica. Danica ze Bananica, you have been a dear, dear friend to me for almost a year now. I truly do love you (don't worry Wink ) and I hope to meet you and Ryan one day. I hope your studies finish well and you move on to be the most awesome librarian in the world. Without you, the Coffeehouse would not exist. And this is a fact. You are named for a character of Ryan's, and you two graciously let me take that name and make it into Omna, one of the two lead characters in my Academy block. I am blessed to make the first true love story in Magic using your characters. And I am blessed to know you.

Arguas2617: Ryan, buddy! Well, it's been over a year, I think. We've been through a lot, together and apart. I am happy to call you my friend, and I know that your studies will not keep you from Danica, or vice versa. You're a good card designer. Better than me, I think. I don't go the extra mile to formulate a pack-making program for draft. Sanctuaries is (while taking a long time), I think, one of the best custom sets I have ever seen. I mean that.

Alacar Leoricar: Oh, Alacar... wait a second Grin

Photon Eater: Photon. Joshua. You are a great man, with great people around you. Through all of your cynicism and sarcasm lies the creamy nougat of a genuinely nice, fun-loving guy. I wish you and Josh the best in your future years, and if I had my way, you would have already tied the knot. You're a great gamer and it's always a pleasure to see your posts. I honestly hope to meet you, Josh, and Mamelon in person some day.

Ethersphere: Josh! I'm so happy you joined MTGSalvation and joined us with Joshua and Mamelon. You're the best RPGer I know, and probably will ever know. But beyond that lies a nice guy, who (so I've heard from Photon) is huggably soft.

Mamelon: Mamelon! Mams. Ma Melon. Mammy. Marmalade. Melonade. Malon. Ma'am-eh-lawn. Lonemam. Nolemam. I could go on :p Seriously though, you are the sweetest, most understanding woman I know. Don't let gender fool these other peoples--If I wasn't with Heather, I'd have to get grilled by Photon for pining for you. I am lucky to know you; you're a great card player and your posts are always some of the most fun to read. You deserve your two trophies. No question.

Crimson Avatar: Mike, my man. You're the best all-round buddy I got. Good card designer, player, gamer, poster. You've got it all, AND a sweet girlfriend to boot. Tnisk block is shaping up well. You're always welcome to drop me a line. Grin

Yukora: Ryan.. you're one of my best friends online. Period. We've shared and been through a lot together. I'm blessed to know you, and I trust you with a lot. Nothing short of utter betrayal could end my friendship with you. And I would never betray our friendship.

Faerie Lord: Ah, Faerie Lord. FL! I knew you back when you were ***_Hater! You're always one of the most chipper of the Coffeehouse regulars. I am happy to help you with Future Visions, which will be released with Tnisk. Grin I look forward to the rest of the block!

Mr. Stuff: Mr. Stuff, you and I have one shared passion: Anime. I love a lot of it, but you my friend are indeed the Otaking. 私はあなたを知ることをうれしく思っています! Kekeke (forgive any errors in that. I used an online translator.)

SnoopDoggAtogg: Starr, my friend.. you have always provided the house with some of the most insightful, wise posts. I apologize for insulting you with my proposed User Card (this was a while back). You are always a happy surprise, albeit a lengthy one, when you post. But you're always well worth the read. I wish you and your love all the best.

Janus: The Wordweaver. Janus, you always seem to pop on when least expected and reply to everything. You keep the ball rolling, and for that, you add an extra little flavor to the CoffeeHouse's charm. The place wouldn't be the same without you and your bold text. Stay cool. Be a Fonz. Artist

Joyd: Joyd, I met you a while back on R&D, and I gotta say, you continue to impress me with your card designing skills. You've warmed up to the House so much over such a short time, you've earned a fixed spot on my buddy list. Please, feel free to drop me an IM.

Kraj: Greg Krajenta, you old rascal. You're an excellent card designer, and one of the best Debators on the forum. I only wish we could talk more on IM. I'm sure you could definitely help me with my block, which I have decided to stop designing for and start working on the setting/plot before I continue. I look forward to your unnamed project. And I know I've said it before, and I know you would rather not want to be associated with it anymore, but you deserved to win the Great Designer Challenge.

Nemcon: Nemcon! Buddy! I've missed all yer posts. It's good that you keep us all in mind and check up on us now and then. You're a good Magic player, I know that. I'm glad we could help you establish yourself on MTGS.

kevinliu2333/Cecilia: Kevin. Cecilia. You have quickly become one of my favorite people on the Coffeehouse. You always have hugs and kisses ready, as well as a cheerful word to say. We at the House (and I especially) are always ready to listen to you, to help you through your hard times, and celebrate your good times. You're the Yoda of Legacy, and deservedly so. You play a mean Funkbrew!

Umgenni Kemo: Umgenni! Makes me smile when I see your posts. Friendly, supporting, and good at card designing, considering you helped Faerie Lord make Future Visions what it is.

Shadowfox: Fox, my dear! I can hardly believe I forgot you. Well no longer. You've been a great friend, helping take over R&D with Kraj, and you deserve a spot on this blog post just as much as the rest of you.

Sephiroth Owa: Sephiroth! Estuans interius ina vehementi, my friend. Wink I am actually listening to One Winged Angel as I type this, and I can't help but smile. You're a good friend and a GREAT addition to the House! You and your silver hair.. what conditioner do you use?

Nai: Nai, my guy.. Always with a rant, a friendly pat on the back, and a comforting word at the ready. I can't wait to see what your character (Nai) can/will do in my block, and I'm grateful you let me use him. Foxfolk!

strongbad56: Here comes the Strong Bad! You are the very strongest. I am not very strong. You're my best fweind! :p I am a HUGE Homestar Runner fan, and I loved making your avatar. You prove the Coffeehouse is the most awesome; we gots the Strong Bad.

Yusuke: I am loving this idea of the league. I can't wait till Domain kicks all their butts! :p

Dreia: Take good care of Mike, now Dreia. Like I have to ask Wink

Tuatha: Hello there! Good to see a friendly face (and another woman! I think? lol)

Magic Mage: Are we attracting all the academics? You're always speaking your mind, and that is definitely refreshing Grin

Shin': Um.. Vogue? Shocked

KoolKoal: KK, my man. You are kwite possibly the koolest koal I kan ever know. A good gamer, player, and you've been with us for so long! Get back onto that Regulars list! Grin

Jack: I remember when I couldn't stand you, man. But that's all water under the bridge--you've changed into a better Jack! Huzzah!

The rest of you are casual customers and deserve a small nod, especially to Tanthalas, Sene, and PurpleD. As well as all of Those Who Have Moved On.

The Magic Coffeehouse is an entity that's greater than the sum of its parts. No matter who's there, as long as we continue its traditions, it will never end. The Coffeehouse's 9 threads are responsible for over half of my total posts. I check it daily, several countless times a day. I am honored to select a Regular for the prestige of Regular of the Week every weekend for that Sunday, as well as Geek Mp3, a supplement for the Housegoers to listen to. Without the House, Academy block would actually still be a half-***ed 150-card set with terrible renders, not the 636-card wonder it is. Core Set: Salvation would not exist. I would not have my MTGS Writer tag. I would not even by a World Project Leader, because [Natural 20] owes a lot to you.

Thank you, [Magic CoffeeHouse]. May you always continue on MTGSalvation, and even off of MTGSalvation.

Love,
-Christopher French
