The MTGO shuffle is no way random. If you have an all lander, and you mull, you are nearly certain to be screwed with 1 landers at best for the mull to 6 and 5.
Perfect example of how anedoctical negative experience affects humans opinion and emotion.
i was on 5 cantrips and 24 lands when i was on the build just playing 2 teferi, and i never had mana troubles outside of the normal color screw that any heavy 3 color deck encounters. if you want to you can think of the 3rd FoR as a spell.
25 lands is the safe choice, and where id want to be for the miracles build though. you are more top heavy, and although it isnt preferred; being able to hard cast terminus comes up. that and its usually the correct choice to play 1 more land than you think you need in control decks.
I m exactly on 2 teferi.
I think could be useful to post my MD:
Dunno if shaving lands could be worst in paper than online where the shuffler is truly random.
And more on the topic: what land do we want to cut?
I started cutting the 3rd FoR but its so good i ended up cutting the Glacial Fortress but im scared to be too low on coloured mana source being UWR a greedy deck.
What's the general consensus on the playability of Lightning Bolt in the main? Removal that can lower the needed storm count doesn't seem that bad actually.
Depending on the meta it could be a good call to include 1-2 bolts
The meta right now seems creature heavy so playing with it could give you a good edge while not being completely dead against other decks.
It also frees some space in the SB for the control MU.
Thoughts on pull from tomorrow? i have been running it over ancestral and im having great results! my main concern was that i hated seeing ancestral in my hand past turn 1. its an awful top deck and dead in the late game. Pull from tomorrow, however, is always live, and is now an auto include in my deck.
I think that if you want an instant draw spell Think Twice and Supreme Will are just better option.
What's your thoughts on this deck?
To me it's a pretty standard list although i'm stil unsure to play Elspeth only in the SB, i would rather play 2 Chandra and 1 Elspeth main.
MD AV is worth, maybe, only in non-Harbinger builds.
Playing the deck i always hated to draw it after turn 2 and in many mulling decisions the hand would have been a keep with serum instead AV.
This deck simply doesn't need pure CA, snapcasters and electrolyze are simply enough.
Oh and you need to play always 4, because it sucks in every turn apart from the first.
If AV works for you against BGx decks good for you, but i would play it in the SB.
Leyline of Sanctity also helps against Nihil Spellbomb.
If this deck wants to explore blue I like Izzet charm a lot. I would even consider Remand and Spell Snare for dredgy reasons and as easy counter to RIP and Ooze.
Speaking of blue the 3x Swan song i have in the SB it's maybe the most used spot in game 2-3.
Another thought: Burn seems like a tough matchup, could be worthwhile to include a Shambling Vents in the 75
It's so bad the reason why this deck seems to have a resurge is because with the eldrazi-mania burn is less popular.
The only keys to improve your MU are:
- Bscale: very bad in most MUs, doesn't actually worth playing more than 1 MD
- Gnaw to the bone: the best card in Jund color for the MU
If you are willing to play more white cards like Timely Reinforcements are very good against burn.
For me it's a thing that cost at least 6 mana, gives you negative tempo in the early turn and is a terrible topdeck.
Playable, and not so much in decks abusing of token removal strategy (like hexmage).
The 2R card is Squee, Goblin Nabob . I looked at that decklist trying to figure out what it does: seems like basically an Assault Loam deck, except with Zombie Infestation instead of Seismic Assault. The secret tech is Golgari Brownscale to not die to aggro, Squee as extra discard fodder, and Conflagrate as burn that can be cast from the graveyard.
(insert whiny "SSG is broken" comment)
edit: and he's 8-1 lmao
Wasn't this the deck that Levy was running both online and paper during the post KTK PT?
In the light of this strong synergy, the odds of a reprint of Lotv?
They said already that liliana was on the list of reprints but was stopped by the dominance of Mono Black Rats, now we have a different and pretty healty meta in standard.

We can at least assume it is more random than human shuffling: https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/other-formats/599395-the-mtgo-shuffler-isnt-rigged-and-thats-the (for reference)
Also, i didnt intended to discuss about shuffling and randomization

A wasteland that doesn't produce mana?
Still too strong for Modern? Would it be playable in any deck? MD or SB material?
