Re-drafting per pod is a bothersome procedure in a multi-pod event. It requires everybody to remember what the pods were (not at all impossible), and it also requires the TO to wrangle that many players back into pasture at the end of the event to make sure everybody gets the rares from their pod. Also, consider this:
There are three Pods of eight players each. For clarity's sake, we shall call them Pod A, Pod B, and Pod C. Assume that each Pod opens the exact same rares, so that at the end every pod will be re-drafting from an identical pool (unlikely, but I'm trying to prove a point so please follow). The highest ranked player in Pod A is the winner, first place. But in Pod B the highest ranked player is 12th place, and in Pod C the highest player is 4th place. So it then follows that:
The player in 1st gets the same reward as the player in 12th. But 2nd and 3rd get a worse reward than 4th. Not at all fair, and best avoided.
Bah. Let me rephrase. Our draft EVENTS have twenty players in multiple pods, and I didn't see the logistics in re-drafting with multiple pods. Keeping track of sixty-something rares is a nightmare. Sorry about the derp. I'm sure we can all agree that re-drafting with multiple draft pods is a BAD IDEA.
But, with one pod there's a lot of merit to re-drafting, if done correctly. The few times I've participated in one you go down the rank order for rare re-drafting the first time, then the second round you start at the BOTTOM and work your way UP. You repeat the pattern from round one for round three. In my personal experince, this pattern of re-drafting works great with 4 to 6 people, especially if everybody is good friends.
How many players do venues get that re-drafting is even possible? We have 20-something players routinely, and redrafting would be a nightmare.
That's another variable to consider. If there's any venue with sixteen or something players where redrafting is a common occurence, I'd love to see their past experiences.
In my opinion, redrafting just becomes more impossible with more people.

When you sign up for the pre-release, you can sign up for a "Chosen Destiny". This determines the colour of your pre-release promo card (which you CAN use in your deck!) and the colours of the cards in your pre-seeded pack. The destinies are:
-Destined to Lead (White)
-Destined to Outwit (Blue)
-Destined to Dominate (Black)
-Destined to Conquer (Red)
-Destined to Thrive (Green)
Each Born of the Gods Pre-Release kit comes packed with the following:
-3 booster packs of Theros
-2 booster packs of Born of the Gods
-1 pre-seeded booster pack featuring cards in your chosen colour.
Tournament structure:
Swiss format rounds. The number of rounds will be determined after player attendance is finalized.

3 PACKS OF BORN OF THE GODS ARE ADDED TO THE PRIZE POOL FOR EACH PLAYER IN ATTENDANCE! FINAL PAYOUT WILL BE DETERMINED AFTER A FINAL COUNT OF ATTENDANCE IS TALLIED.

Re-drafting per pod is a bothersome procedure in a multi-pod event. It requires everybody to remember what the pods were (not at all impossible), and it also requires the TO to wrangle that many players back into pasture at the end of the event to make sure everybody gets the rares from their pod. Also, consider this:
There are three Pods of eight players each. For clarity's sake, we shall call them Pod A, Pod B, and Pod C. Assume that each Pod opens the exact same rares, so that at the end every pod will be re-drafting from an identical pool (unlikely, but I'm trying to prove a point so please follow). The highest ranked player in Pod A is the winner, first place. But in Pod B the highest ranked player is 12th place, and in Pod C the highest player is 4th place. So it then follows that:
The player in 1st gets the same reward as the player in 12th. But 2nd and 3rd get a worse reward than 4th. Not at all fair, and best avoided.
Bah. Let me rephrase. Our draft EVENTS have twenty players in multiple pods, and I didn't see the logistics in re-drafting with multiple pods. Keeping track of sixty-something rares is a nightmare. Sorry about the derp. I'm sure we can all agree that re-drafting with multiple draft pods is a BAD IDEA.
But, with one pod there's a lot of merit to re-drafting, if done correctly. The few times I've participated in one you go down the rank order for rare re-drafting the first time, then the second round you start at the BOTTOM and work your way UP. You repeat the pattern from round one for round three. In my personal experince, this pattern of re-drafting works great with 4 to 6 people, especially if everybody is good friends.
That's another variable to consider. If there's any venue with sixteen or something players where redrafting is a common occurence, I'd love to see their past experiences.
In my opinion, redrafting just becomes more impossible with more people.
