Here is a deck I was trying out with Deaths Shadow ! I know is not as optimal and has a lot of problems but it is nice to see something similar catching up !
I played the deck a couple of games and it seams promising ! At turn 2 8/8 to 11/11 death shadow with at least one or two ways to protect it ! I think i need to go more agro!
A nice tric is the marsh flats and godless shrine for an extra -3 life to go ! +3/+3 or 2nd main Avatar of hope
I was thinking more in general the idea to lock down the opponent with constant paying increases ! 1 mana drops are cursecatcher and daze that will reduce the speed in many decks and probably it will delay the game enough so you set the control machine !
The more i play against competitive archetypes in legacy the more realize the amount of mana tightness in them ! The calculations are perfect to fit with almost no limits on them, and thats why cards like daze are so great in the format!
I am open to ideas and crazy thoughts. I tested it this week and am sure it can work (mainly cause it is an alternative to the existing established list) but ok I want to do something fresh!

You have to use the fact that people are running stock lists to your advantage! You can know exactly what everyone is trying to do if you prepare!
Yea i Agree on that ! I took part in lots of games and actually similar archetypes have the same play-style 99% .

The armor deck i was building has one more crucial card Isochron Scepter . I dont know If i have to build more around it , avoid it or just keep it as an extra lock cont.
Another problem i encountered is that there is not really a great win condition on the deck ! Any ideas on that except Jace?
ok i see the point with the Gaddock ! and mana leak, Rhystic study.
I think force of will can be a nice add but at the same time there are not enough blue spells to use as a discard condition for it !
I thought of glowrider too and in general i got this as a maybe list when started the idea !

The truth is that Recently i joined a Legacy tournament and I was so disappointed that 99.9% percent of the decks were just copies of archetypes ! I can understand that these are the most established decks but this ruins 50% percent of the game ! the element of surprise ! and that why i thought to try to make something competitive but different !
Ok the idea is simple delay the game with extra demand of payments control with counters like daze and mana leak !
Lock the game with Limited resources and Gaddock Teeg !
I think I am still missing some extra win conditions ! Any ideas ?
PS : the first name I thought of this deck was Greek Taxes (since I am greek i think I can make fun of my origins ) but ok lets not be too cruel ! Posted in: Developing (Legacy)
Ok I see Leyline of Sanctity seams like a great choice indeed !
I m still trying to find ways to lock the game and probably lock it even faster! I have tested the game against Enchanters deck and Zoo and it works pretty great more like 60-70% win! But i have great problem against control decks !

The main idea is to build an armor around you and control the board to death !
I loved Maniac since the first moment i saw him as a card ! The change of rules an perspective of the game was awesome ! Some of my personal favorite cards also involve that like Leveler.
So i was toying around with the same kinda of idea and inspired by the post !
I was thinking also adding cards like Death Wish and having some of the basic combo cards o n the sideboard !
I really like the idea so I home we can make it even better
