Just noticed a few days ago my thread got merged into this. I apologize for any confusion...not sure why they merged it with something as focused as this deck seems to be.
Cool, thanks. I think i'm gonna take the earlier advice and swap out all thoughtseizes for Raven's Crime. Not sure what else I can do with this without play testing.
For whatever reason, I like Pack Rat and Knight of the Reliquary and wanted a way to make use of both of them. For now, I decided to put back Stinkweed Imp and get rid of Iona...since this will be a more grindy deck and without gifts...I don't have a consistent way of bringing her out.
Just want to reiterate that this was a deck that I noticed while watching an SCG event. I just wanted to see what could be done to make it playable in multiplayer. The version you see now is what was used in that 1v1 event.
I saw a game this for SCG Kansas City this past weekend and saw a deck that piqued my interest. Is this something that could be viable for multiplayer?
If you don't have a budget, Liliana of the Veil? I agree with cme's recommendation for Ensnaring Bridge. Mainly, I think you should replace the discard spells that target a single player. Smallpox and Syphon Mind are a must add and you can use Skull Rend to replace Blightning. Leechridden Swamp is also a good add with the amount of permanents you should have in play.
You expect to see results of ignoring them in one sitting? Cute.
You expect to see results from ignoring them in everyone, always? Cute.
Not everyone, always, but pretty much. Treat them like a child or a pet. The first time they do something wrong, even if you react in exactly the right way, they're not instantly going to stop. If you have a child who is doing things entirely to get attention, what works better. Ignoring the behavior until he stops, snapping back at him or telling your wife so that she maybe punishes him later for it - particularly in a way that doesn't let him know precisely what he's being punished for? Pretty obvious answer.
Anyway, I'm done. Ask an expert (a therapist, perhaps) what they think is more effective. I'm sure they'll agree with me. I work with about forty of them. In the meantime, people will keep being crappy online and you and others will keep retaliating in various ineffective ways.
I get what you are saying but I'm not sure why it matters so much that some people choose to report. They can ignore the person that is trash talking and still report them. If it makes the person being abused feel better to file a report, no matter how ineffective, then what does it matter?
I know that Pack Rat has only seen play in limited and some standard...but what are your feelings on them as a discard outlet? Or am I just dancing around the problem and should just include Lingering Souls instead? Also without Stinkweed Imp, what are you using to start your dredge? Are you just casting Loam against an empty graveyard?
You definitely need some more draw spells like Sign in Blood or creatures with beneficial ETB effects like Phyrexian Rager. I also think that not having Gray Merchant of Asphodel in a monoblack drain deck is a huge oversight.
