I figured it out. I was reading the installation instructions on Woogerworks and I guess I was trying to compile it. My apologies, any confusion on your part is due to my ignorance.. Thank you though, your reply got me to look deeper and figure out that it is really easy!

Well I tried to download the SDK and it didn't work since it is for windows 7. Is there a windows 8 SDK that would work and is everything else the same then?

You're missing his point entirely. His argument (which I agree with) is that the Horror is the worst card in the deck and that a dedicated drain + burn plan would be stronger. His version of the deck wouldn't include the Horrors at all.

You're setting yourself up to be massively disappointed with this deck. Cryptborn Horror and War Elemental pair much better with creatures than they do with burn. Your plan of keeping the curve low isn't going to pan out well for you and you're probably just going to waste time, eat a removal spell and lose the game after eating a chump blocker or two.

Were I playing this deck myself, it would have much more meat. That is, I would be playing creatures such as Hunted Horror and Taurean Mauler that actually matter/that get huge quickly. Heck, even Rakdos, Lord of Riots seems like a decent man for such a list. From there I would beat people down and finish them off with a slew of burn (such as Breath of Malfegor) and drain (Blood Tithe and Exsanguinate are both fine).

I don't think that staying small is the way to go. You want some actual beef in here to give you some blockers and whatnot. Otherwise people can just freely attack you and ensure that you'll never actually win the game. Blockers are very important in my MP burn decks and I always field creatures that are big for their cost. You'll lose far too many games if you don't.

Seems pretty clear that his plan is to suspend them and have them hit on the turns where he wants to cast Crypty. I don't think he's playing a 3 mana Lighting Bolt.

Do not agree at all. It's not in the same Universe as Arena. Even though it can be situationally better it's so much worse on the whole and anyone's who's played with it would understand why that is. The only thing it does it give you some late game gas because it's basically impossible to curve out and still use it effectively. Arena is fire and forget and gives you value all game long at the cost of a measly point of life. It's like comparing Lightning Bolt to Volcanic Hammer in my mind. I mean yes, the cards are somewhat similar, but the difference in power level is absurd.

That being said, given the option of it or nothing, I'd play it or Syphon Mind (or both) in most of my decks. I just wouldn't be happy about it.

Thank you for clearing up the misconceptions with Rift Bolt and Underworld Connections. You got it, Thanks

And in my casual playgroup, I still think my idea of a low curve deck would work but maybe not in most playgroups. I know I'll be able to attack with a pulse tracker at least the first 3 or 4 turns because not everyone will have a blocker out by then (my friends play pretty slow budget decks). You do have some good suggestions though. I think I will try making two versions of this deck, one like I posted above and one with more creatures and a higher curve.

While I'm not a fan of Cryptborn Horror at all, I would likely go the drain/burn route with Spiteflame Witch, Syphon Soul, Sizzle, Exsanguinate, Breath of Malfegor .

That is one way to do it but I think those all cost too much. Remember you are going to have to cast Cryptborn Horror on top of it.

Hey if you really build this deck can you tell me how it works? I got 5 cryptborn horrors in my bulk rares and would be really glad if I could play those in some deck.

As for the deck Rift Bolt seems really bad. Any bolt would be better. What do you think of chandra's spitfire? He is very strong with Flame Rifs.

Yeah, I can post an update once I get this all together. And my reasoning for Rift Bolt: Suspend Rift Bolt turn 2 and then cast Cryptborn Horror turn 3 with three extra +1/+1 counters. But maybe it isn't worth it.

And I really like the Chandra's Spitfire idea! I can hit it with an Unearth and it definitely has possibility to grow huge. I'll test it. My main problem is no one is wanting to play casual FFA on Cockatrice these days :p

I am trying to put together a multiplayer black/red deck that features Cryptborn Horror from RtR. I want this to be under $20.

Here is what I have so far:

I think it'd be pretty cool to have this as a Smallpox deck too but I am not sure what else I need to make that an effective strategy. Exsanguinate could definitely produce a huge Cryptborn Horror but I want the deck to run on about 3-5 mana mostly and to get there fast. That is why I put Ebon Stronghold, but I haven't tested it yet.

Phyrexian Arena or Dark Confidant would both be better than Dark Tutelage or Underworld Connections but those are unavailable to me because of my budget. Smile

    Any suggestions guys?

Except some of the best mechanics of all time had little or no flavor: cycling, kicker, buyback, cascade, scry, flashback, etc.

Honestly, I think very few of these cards are playable. I think G for a 4/4 or 1G for a 5/5 is the baseline for making it worth giving your opponent a card. The Black one is unplayable, the Red one is unplayable (but it's a common: at rare it would probably be 2R and still worse than Delver :P). A card is worth a lot more than a small increase in efficient creature power.

You think red should get a 3/3 flier for R and it'd be worse than delver? A 4/4 for G is way too good especially considering the full cost would be 2G...

Too much life gain for a red walker. There probably shouldn't be any life gain at all

I have always found great interest in paragliding and I think I might try to pick up the sport in a few years. Have any of you ever tried it? What do you guys think of it? I am huge into extreme sports and flying.

Check out some videos on YouTube if you don't know what it is. Smile Don't get it confused with parasailing behind a boat.

Alright, so I listened to the first 8 tracks and turned it off. It felt like I was listening to the same mix over and over. Unoriginal, uneventful, extremely bland, and very "cookie-cutter". Basically, a complete waste of my time.

Oh well. As long as you aren't listening to ke$ha or Pitbull, we can agree to disagree

When i listen Deadmau5 I think "safe for television", the "mtv" version of dubstep. I prefer mine far more raw. Krewella, Knife Party, Getter, Pantyraid, Flux Pavillion, Bassnectar, Zomboy, etc

Yeah, I am not a huge dubstep fan. Although I do like Flux Pavilion and the sometimes Bassnectar. I prefer chill, chillstep, Drum n Bass, Trance, House, Hardstyle. Stuff like that. Deadmau5 fits into multiple of my favorite genres.

Yeah, I wouldn't say it is his best album or my favorite new album of the year but I have always like his stuff. And I would agree with Skrillex being a little overrated. I think deadmau5 deserves it.
