I was thinking of pairing Ral with Isochron scepter as well, but in a UWR tempo shell. Adding white opens up lightning helix and path to exile which can be crippling agains certain Aggro decks. Delver of Secrets and development would probably help the deck out as well. You can also add azorious charm if you go white.
I always thought they could have looked a little bit like this;
When this enters the battlefield, scry 1, then reveal the top card of your library, if it "shares a specific land type with this card" then this card untaps.
So for example;if you are playing with the UB land, if you reveal an island or a swamp from the top of your library, it will enter the battlefield untapped.
Has anyone tried making a playable lich effect? I think it would be rather unique.
Something like;
You have no maximum hand size
You don't lose the game for having less than zero life.
Whenever you lose life, sacrifice that many permanents and draw that many cards.
The Azorius guild symbol looks a lot like the all Seeing Eye (or eye of providence). The encapsulating blue gem at the center could represent an eye (seen in the new Azorius guildgate art) while the sides which form a triangle represent the trinity.
Does this reflect Azorius’s placement among the guilds as the ultimate power; controlling everything subconsciously? (Are they the illuminati of Ravnica?)
There is literally no synergy between Grafdigger's Cage and Ghost Quarter.
Your right, I thought Grafdigger's Cage prevented players from searching and playing lands from their decks. Now that I think about it, that would have made Grafdigger's Cage absurdly broken by shutting down fetchlands and the like.
There is good synergy between Grafdigger's Cage and Ghost Quarter that essentially gives you the ability to strip mine your opponent. Add Treasure Find to bring back your ld spells.
I don't normally go downtown to play magic so I can't recommended any stores there. But if you are ever near the west Island, Aux Jeux (on St-Jean I believe) is a nice place to be. They usually have lots of people, a nice looking store and will even offer food during the pre-release.
I have never seen any French packs in Montreal, so I think you will only find English packs.
I once received a premium deck series grave born for Christmas. When I opened it up, the back black border of each of those cards had the front black frame printed on instead. They were basically all unusable except for the cards showcased in the front of the packaging.
I tried to find some collectors who would be interested in it, but none of them were biting. So ended up exchanging it for a new set a few weeks after.
Is it true what they say about DFC not being reprinted in FTV? because we could get Delver of Secrets for the 2012 slot. He is quite iconic for he's time, he even spawned brand new deck archetypes!
I am pretty sure that artwork is for Magus of the Library. It has to be a green card, the composition is all grainy moldy like an abandoned house or mansion.

Or, how about we complete the superland cycle from Urza's block with a real red land? Tap for R for each land in your opponents graveyard?
Anyways, I doubt they would let us make anything absurdly powerful.
