I picked Rod of Ruin some reason. It's somewhat weak, but keeps you open... I guess. I'd probably pick Drake if I had to do it over, but the pack is pretty meh. I have good memories of Rod of Ruin in the old days, but on second thought it seems awful nowadays.
I'm just really surprised how many people picked Blightcaster. 4 mana for a 2/3 that's effectively vanilla isn't too exciting, and people who voted it are likely overvaluing the trigger that will rarely, if ever, occur.

At the beginning of the end step, if ~ is red or green, you may sacrifice it. If you do, you gain 2 life.

Legendary Creature - Human Soldier Advisor
Vigilance T:Exile target creature. Put X 1/1 red Rioter creature tokens onto the battlefield under the control of that creature's controller, where X is the exiled creature's toughness.
At the beginning of each players upkeep, that player sacrifices a Rioter.
I was under the impression that they were used to "promote" certain things.
Also these decks are some value. 2 5$ uncommons, a 10$ standard rare... 20$ standard mythic... a 7$ starter rare... plus there's more cards that you get to actually play with for entertainment value?
Another one of these fine anacronisms of a set. They say one thing and mean another, maybe, until they say something different the next day.
This will be Chronicles 2.0 (even with CoB!), whether or not people like it.
Well, the packs are more expensive and the print run is far far shorter, so the market won't be flooded, so I'd say it's quite different. I'm pretty sure they're trying their hardest not to **** it up this time...
Well, I'm blue red. I hate EDH because it has inherent flaws that makes only combo a viable strategy outside of the delusion bubble a lot of EDH players live in that somehow allow them to not play cards that should be banned like Palinchron, and the only EDH I have built is UR Niv Mizzet lameness (fun for me...). I guess you're doing something right.
Also, I'm being attacked by a 6/6 and an unblockable creature equipped with sword of feast and famine and block the 6/6 with my Solemn, the Sword damage goes through and puts a trigger on, then state based effects kills my solemn. It's death trigger stacks and I draw my card, then sword trigger resolves making me discard it (assuming I have 0 cards in hand at the before any of this). Is this a correct outcome of this scenario?
As somebody who is part of a playgroup which ultimately ended up devolving into "good" EDH decks, the banlist for EDH is a joke. This article is decent in its own regard, but the argument needs to be made for about 100 other things.
Obviously there is mana crypt, which at 40 life is only 1 million times better than Sol Ring.

I can go on for a while here.
The only way to truly stop the "douchebaggery" is to eliminate it. All of these cards serve no purpose other than causing games to become unfair and degenerate. I'd rather not play with or against these cards, but when I can play them, do own them and constantly play against them, it's kind of stupid not to. Realistically, this is the most broken format by far, and the endless amounts of tutors available make the every infinite combo available and quick. Compared to some of these other cards, Sol Ring's power is a joke.
I always kind of lose my place when I go on my rants, so lets hope this stayed coherent.
I just heard of it today and it just doesn't seem as well known as it deserves to be. I hope it plays as well as the trailers and gameplay make it look.
You would be able to attach the aura to a shroud creature. The enchantment only targets when cast, and in this case, it just finds itself put onto the battlefield forcing you to attach it to a available attachee.
How is a minimum 2 2/1's for 3U unfortunate? Add 2 more with a Lord of Atlantis or friends.

The issue is that everyone dies in one turn, and these types of cards give a quite significant advantage on something solely based on chance.
