3 Pro Tours in the US. I like it, but I can see many other people upset about it. I'm especially digging Atlanta and Portland.
Family in Atlanta, 8 hour drive to Portland. Sweet!
At the pro tour they said this was done for budget reason to add in the fourth pro tour, expect it to go back to normal rotating continents after this year
If pod is banned, will any deck from the format's inception have not recieved a ban?
Burn and Affinity? Certainly no WINNING deck...
The day they ban a burn card is the day the format will crumble. It would be absolutely ridiculous to ban a burn card, unless its death rite shaman, **** that card. It should have been banned not blood braid elf
Went 7-2-1 on day 1 of scg dallas and 6-3 day 2 with the deck.
Started day one with 5-0 record. I ran a pretty stock list, except instead of 3 farseek i sent with 3 trackers instinct.
Day 2 i went back to farseeks
My board was
3 abrupt decay
4 thragtusk
1 zealous conscripts
2 glaring spotlight
3 cathedral sanctifier
2 rhox faithmenders
Day 1 i got my first loss against r/g aggro when i couldnt get a black source to cast rites, started had three caverns, 2 groves and the land i needed to cipu was a black source to win g3.
The other loss was to the naya deck in round 9 that won day 2, but i mulled into oblivion that match. Mull 4 g1, mull 5 g3
This deck is still a great choice if you think the field is hype aggro light. This d k is the destroyer of midrange and control. I dont think this deck will be playable once ooze is printed though. A lot of decks will probably play main deckit because why not, just like drs in modern
Im lookng for a sig that has the theme of the title thread that something to the effect of jar, academy, ravager, upheveaval, plowunder, necro, wildfire and jace. I love oppoents with no permanents, can some one make this happen
Eventualy EDH will absorb everyone, casual, broken cards, dont need new cards to play, both competetitive and casual games exist, a reason to hold onto cards, dont need 20 year old $1000 cards, this is the format of the future, all you need is a small play group not a 1000 person gp, dont need a game store.
Also i think that just like all new standard formats aggro usually does well, they just need to print new cards to deal with these ridiculous creatures modern has. I mean come on a format with plow/witness and wildfire eventually there will be a very degenerate control deck. I can only hope
Yes, I decided before the price jump not to get them because I had *gasp* more important stuff to spend money on.
20-30 dollar fetchlands are unnacceptable. I can understand the prices of staples like Snapcaster, Clique, Goyf even if I don't like them, but this inflation of manabases is due to some fairly well documented speculation and I wish that WOTC would just reprint the damn things.
You need shocks + fetches to build most modern decks. WOTC wants us to play modern, so for partially that reason they reprinted the shocks.
Now get off your behinds and reprint the fetches. The glacier pace they take WRT to doing anything relevant for the format annoys me to no end. Banlist tweaks, reprints, etc. etc. The market moves thousands of times faster than they do..
If you cant figure out that fetches are staples of modern, heck even legacy, you need to rethink your concept of the mtg market
The first thing i did when i go into legacy was buy a playset of seas and deltas, best 550 i spent on magic, those cards are staples of legacy and will just keep getting more expensive
I agree with everything said about chrome mox, it will not be a good in any modern combo deck, only control, I myself want it to play in my wildfire deck, I just love having opponents with no permenants.

Being colorless and able to come down T2, will make it easier to win turn three as more creatures get printed.
