Modern does not allow you to run a 2 land deck or cast gigantic Ad Nauseams on turn 2 so these blazingly fast legacy combos are not going to fly. There aren't many cards you can afford to dump to a mox in modern.
To a lesser extent, you probably also want to free a card in your hand in case you need to trigger Hellbent on Infernal Tutor.

I wouldn't remove Galvanic Blast completely, you still need to be able to hit turn one Birds on the draw. I'm maining one RSZ and I just moved Whipflare to the board.
I am the UB zombie player coming here to look at what U/W humans sides in, and if your answer to my threats are grafdiggers cage i all i can do is give a hearty thanks.
As a UB zombie player, how do you remove Grafdigger's Cage?
Anywho, I like siding in Timely Reinforcements, but with UW Humans I like siding in Timely against most decks that run creatures. It's such good value with Honor of the Pure there's no reason not to. I played against U/B Zombies in Swiss and quarterfinals at game day. Each time I boarded in 1x Purge, 1x Sword of Feast and Famine, 3x Timely Reinforcement. Of that, I saw Timely both game 2s and Sword of Feast and Famine once. They were both good.
I run 1 Thrun, 2 Hero of Oxid Ridge, 3 Hellrider and 2 Huntmaster of the fells for 8...
although I'm finding this deck is like the GW tokens deck, where if the birds goes bye-bye, its hard to recuperate
This is true, but I feel like if you can follow up with another dork turn 2 you should be okay. Most of the time we're ramping to 4 anyways.
I'm running 4 Hellrider, 4 Huntmaster, 1 Hero of Oxid Ridge, and 1 Thrun ATM. I was running 2 Phyrexian Metamorphs as more copies of Hellrider, but I'm trying out Thrun and Hero in those spots now.
B/W tokens does not have a good WRR match-up. Depending on the build it ranges from terrible to merely unfavourable. Basically there are only 2 ways to beating WRR, by disrupting their gameplan or by racing their gameplan(you need to beat consistant turn 4-5 titan). An aggro/token hybrid(champions, maybe blade splicer etc) has a decent shot at racing, the mid-range token decks have very little chance. Neither strategy can meaningfully interact with WRR, at most they may have a couple of DB's/O Rings, but killing a titan is not even very good. This dynamic exists and makes tokens an underdog naturally, even before you take into account they play a bunch of sweepers.
However tokens are favoured against Delver decks, not sure why you'd think otherwise(I understand testing can sometimes throw up odd results, which is why you should always be weary of test results). Lingering souls is basically amazing VS. delver, especially when you have a way of buffing the tokens. The easiest way to lose for tokens is to a Sword of War and Peace so you need to play around that accordingly(every turn ask yourself what happens if he has sword in hand so you're always aware of the threat) and have answers in the maindeck and more in the SB. I believe a well built and balanced token deck is massively favoured against Delver.
I agree. I played the old Anthem G/W Tokens back at the beginning of Innistrad and I had to have a pretty insane curve to 2-0 Wolf Run. I assume the match up is pretty similar now. You can't stop him from landing a Titan, most of the time you won't be able to kill him before he's able to cast it, and as soon as it comes into play you lose a lot of reach.
what actually qualifies as a white weenie deck? i haven't seen a list before
In this format or in general? In this format there isn't really one, unless you consider U/W Humans to be WW. In the past there's been Kithkin, Death and Taxes, Martyr Proc, and a few others I'm probably forgetting.

Wow, I completely misread this card. Never mind.

That seems very good for Ramp.
I don't know how often you remove opponent's permanents with Flickerwisp, but the +2 toughness probably makes up for it.
That is the correct pronunciation for frites, the french word for french fries. It's a play on words.

That doesn't work if you attach it to a Green creature. The creature deals damage, not the Torch.
