I don't really understand the fuzzy talk about ''it dies to chainwhirler'' and stuff. I would never want to board a ''7 mana do nothing against aggro'' card in against R/x decks, but it feels perfect as an additional finisher in control mirror matches and slightly better than Nezahal. For me it's a nice 1 of in the sideboard of a UBw control deck.
I've searched this thread but been unable to find any current information on sleeves like this. Does anyone know where to buy similar ones? Or other "fancy" sleevs? Thanks a ton
If i'm not mistaken, these sleeves are from Ultra Pro. They used to be around somewhere between 2003 and 2006 in 5 different colors. I still have a pack of them in blue. I'm pretty sure they were discontinued and you can't find them anymore. I haven't seen anything similar since then.
Everything you say is totally fine, except for the fact that my fnm playgroup consists of older players (30-60 years old) who are very competitive and always have top notch decks. They are good and friendly and you can hang out with them, but they like to win. Everyone who has been there with a budget deck or with incomplete lists, never had a good time. Unfortunately, it's the only gamestore close to where i live. Other than that, fnm was going to be a start for me. I would love to attend higher level tournaments at some point. For now, the updated list with JtMS is out of my budget.
Actually, i'm not so excited. I was 50$ short from completing my uw list and start attending local fnms with it. God knows how much i have to spend now for an updated list. Thinking of selling everything back.
A playable card, will certainly help get the NayaDino deck in the right direction. Think it could shine after rotanion, when energy and fatal push are out.
I generally have no favorite color, but i do enjoy playing blue in my standard deck lately.
Style i like to play
I guess i'm more of a controlish player, i like to get beaten until i reach 1 point of life and then take over the game from there, never allowing my opponent to deal that 1 damage and win.
Budget you have
I guess my budget is around 100$, but i could push it to 150$ if i get really excited with a deck.
It is not a conspiracy or a blame WOTC thread. It is a personal experience and opinion that i share, so i can't really understand the aggresive answers. Getting 4 fatal pushes, while flooding with all other uncommons in 3 boxes (and 2 prerelease kits) sounds weird to me.
The point is that i still believe this is a great way to promote sales whether this is true or not. Everyone wants to see strong cards printed in uncommon rarity, hoping to get multiple copies when opening a box and that is what drives people into buying more product.
Although i'm pretty excited about the reprints, i have a strong feeling that uncommons in the MM17 set will actually have a ''fatal push style'' rarity. Based on other peoples' and my own experience, fatal push, despite being uncommon, only has a couple of copies inside a whole Aether Revolt booster box.
That's exactly what i think will happen with all the valuable uncommons printed in the new set (path to exile, inquisition of Kozilek, etc). Hyping everyone up with the promise of super cool cards been given in loads, this set will sell a lot. Only a few packs will contain these, while the rest will be filled with junkier, less valuable uncommons.
Still, the set has a lot of excellent cards so far and will certainly have high value hidden inside every booster pack, that's why i'll buy a few no matter what
Yeah, she's been to Amonkhet before. Yeah, she's got that chillin style. Still, how does that explain such a royal treatment? Isn't Amonkhet a hostile plane ruled by Bolas and his servants (as far as we know)? Who is pampering her? She seems to be rather comfortable in contrast to Gideon (check out his image), who looks tired, dirty and ready for battle. She's like ''Go ahead bro, i'll catch up later, i'm talking business here'' and it seems rather weird that she is not in a similar condition.
Once again, maybe theses images are not safe to make assumptions. But i really hope for something more dramatic than goodguys -> killbadguy - > savetheworld once again
After looking at the new images that we got from the mothership, i came along a few interesting questions:
Why are the planeswalker decks Liliana vs Gideon? These decks normally feature two enemy planeswalkers.
Why is Liliana sitting and enjoying her grapes worshipped like a new Cleopatra (what a sneaky smile), in a plane that she is supposed to have arrived for the first time?
Finally, why is she missing from the Archenemy box art?
Has she been manipulated by Bolas to turn against the Gatewatch, or has she been his secret agent, misdirecting and leading the Gatewatch into a trap from the beginning?
Idk, my mind is pretty messed up, since i want a plot twist soooo bad
