Battle of Wits
I know this is a bit of long shot, but any card that can instantly win the game on it's own deserves a look.
I was thinking it would be good in an Esper or BUG control deck with a bunch of tutors.
Here's a legacy list from a StarCityGames tournament a couple months back that made it to the Top 32: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/deck/703
This list could be converted to modern relatively easily.
@ SyntaxError Boros Garrison is probably the cheapest you can get.
Looking at the Dark Acension spoilers, the only card I'd consider for this deck is Thraben Doomsayer. Other than beening a constant ETB trigger. He can boost myr tokens and Pandemonium damage, Which could be kinda cool.
Have you thought at all about trying Mana Echoes as a mana engine? It would trigger off of Norin as well as having decent synergy with your goblins and Genesis Chamber.
Norin wouldn't trigger Mana Echoes unless you use a bunch of Humans/Warriors.
Flickerwisp seems a bit weak for this deck. It doesn't really help anything in the deck, except maybe Ranger of Eos. It doesn't trigger Champion of the Parish or Mentor of the Meek and can't be fetched by Ranger of Eos.
Mangara of Corondor seems like a good sideboard option for noncreature combo decks (like Hive Mind).
Also, sorry I haven't been testing lately. Been really busy. I'll try to start again sometime next week.
I'm liking how this goes against control. If norin sticks (which it should) and your genesis chamber as well you have basically won the game in the first 2 turns. Outside Disenchant I cannot see them winning from such a position. They can stall with wrath effects but that is not dealing with the problem it is only stalling
This deck is really reliant on playing Norin turn 1 and genesis chamber the next turn. We should appreciate that and mulligan accordingly.
And ALWAYS. I MEAN ALWAYS Play that norin turn one.
I have won games with not have GC in my opening grip, but never without norin
Good idea. A 2-of should be good. It is too bad Academy Ruins is out of our colors
EDIT:
I read the OP again and have a few points I would like raised.
I find fault with this. This deck needs to play norin turn 1 and Genesis Chamber turn 2. The other cards are good win cons but it is too risky to get your engine countered to play norin on any other turn than turn 1
With the one glaring omission that it kills all your own myr tokens and your Genesis Chambers. I have found 4 Ghostly Prison Does enough to slow them down. We might consider Disenchant in the sideboard as destroying a Signal Pest or that stupid equipment that gives creature +1/+0 for every artifact. (I forgot the name) maybe good.
I must admit I have not tried the ranger but I do not see his worth in this deck. The chances of some ability dealing with norin is so lean that I do not get the need to tutor for him. 4 mana is a lot also.
I must admit I have not played against this deck but to be honest how does RDW fair against Ghostly Prison? Genesis Chamber produces a ton of chump blockers that slows them down also.
Sorry. I haven't updated that match-up in a while. I do agree that the results should be better.
As for champion of the Parish, I personally prefer a Turn one Champion followed by Norin and a Soul Warden, but I still see you point.
As for Kataki, you shouldn't worry about Genesis chamber because assuming you playing Affinity (which is the only good artifact based deck I can think of), the last thing you want is for them to have more artifacts, therefore you'll sideboard them out for Kataki.
Lastly, I'll note somewhere in the Primer that Norin should be in the opening hand 90% of the time (there are times, occasionally, that you may not need him).
Wow, never thought about using Zealous Persecution! I may try out a black splash for that and Dark Confidant.
Also, I gonna fix up the primer a little bit now that I have the time.

My bad. I meant to put Soul's Attendent.
