By same style, do you mean kind of silly/not as "artsy"? or just with Karn and a gray theme?

Maybe you could be that judge? I read in your post the you based it off your mood which was "not serious and everything is hilarious" lol.

It looks really great. I hope that's fine.

    Thanks

During Avacyn Restored I pulled 5 Silverblade Paladin cards. 3 normal 2 foil. It didn't happen in one day though. Pulled them in a span of one month through 6 different occasions. I bought 3 to 6 packs each time.

This reflects my mood today, not serious and everything is hilarious lol enjoy.

If you were thinking something more serious/artsy/not like this, I understand and will accommodate to your style more if you want.

    It's awesome! Thanks!

I was wondering if I could make another request?

It would be a signature this time that matches this avatar.

It would be the exact same theme you did with Karn Liberated.

At the bottom it would say:

"Until you have lived as a statue, do not talk to me of pigeons."

    —Karn, silver golem

This quote is from Xanthic Statue

Thanks again. If you do accept my new request, that would be great.

My kid's about to turn 2 as well. I honestly can't wait to teach him the game in a few years, but I'm afraid he won't like it or won't care about it.

It's surprising how many of us have 2 year olds. 4 posters on my count. lol

I'm 23 and my son is 2. His favorite walker is "Johnny" Goldmane LOL. I gave him my Ajani Goldmane and we bought a toploader for it. He calls the card Johnny and he seems to draw him every game lol. I have a good feeling he'll pick up MTG as he grows up. MTG and tennis which surprisingly he could be good at since he can hit tennis balls I throw at him with his Junior racket. I am a very proud father lol.

Good gods I hope he isn't that bad, but honestly I hope he isn't OMG TOURNEY worthy either. Else it will be a damnable bane to get my hands on him for my existent Ral deck.

    True.

As for your ral deck, do you mind telling me about it?

I wonder type of 'walker he is.

If Ral Zarek is a Planeswalker card, I don't even care if he's as bad as Tibalt, I will add him to my RU Modern Deck.

In a mono-white token deck, which is a better option?

Gather the Townsfolk vs. Raise the Alarm

Are these cards viable in the main deck?

    Mikaeus, the Lunarch
    Hero of Bladehold

    Thanks

I'm not sure if this had been done, but if it has, kindly post a link, I checked "search" but none came out.

Basically, in YOUR opinion. How are the current planeswalkers ranked in popularity and usefulness in Commander/EDH.

    Thanks.

When i sold my paper collection it was worth a ton because it had complete commander decks. If commander was going to fizzle out it would have by now.

Most fad formats only stay popular around 9 months. This one has been going strong for years and has been highly popular for over 2 years.

The only thing that will ever go down in price is banned cards. Invest in staples and you will never lose money.

Thanks, I shall get staples of every color then, that way, when I wanna build a deck of the specific color, I wouldn't worry about how the price has grown.

    You're welcome.

I doubt you'd regret it much. Keep in mind, while some stuff that is huge in Standard - such as Delver - is all but worthless in EDH, some stuff that is good in Standard - or which was, before rotation - will still be good in EDH. So, you don't necessarily need to sell all your Standard stuff. Still-current Standard stuff like Cavern of Souls, Restoration Angel, Blood Artist, Liliana of the Veil and Zealous Conscripts are all good in EDH. If anything, one of the cool things about EDH is that you can keep playing some good things from Standard even after they've rotated out. Angelic Destiny, Sun Titan, Wurmcoil Engine, Skithiryx... these are all good EDH cards.

I shall keep the cards you mentioned. Is Tamiyo and Snapcaster any good at EDH, I recently purchased playsets of each, that way I can save one of each.

And you're in luck, because after this year's Commander Arsenal (which I think is stupid, but I digress), there will be yearly Commander products from Wizards.

I might get Commander's Arsenal because of the life counter.

Just look at the amount of people viewing the Commander subforum versus the Standard subforum on this site. About the same. Yeah, I'd say EDH is pretty strong. I know that on MTGO there is always a game going on at any time of the day.

I think it's a lot more rewarding of a format also. Standard has lacked for creativity for a long time, definitely since Mirrodin Block, probably before. Somewhere the power levels got tweaked, so now there are only cards that are clearly constructed playable and cards that are clearly not, and so the R&D team has tested every Standard deck before the cards are released. It's a matter of just discovering them when a set comes out. There's a little bit of that in EDH, for example when a new Commander is spoiled and hundreds of people jump on it, but since there's 99 choices to make and there's so many different options, no single one is right. You find something that you think is good and you think will be effective in your playgroup, and you're rewarded with fun and with win.

Thanks. I'm glad I'm leaving standard and all its limited offers. LOL

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. Depends on your definition of investment. If you are comparing it to Standard, where card prices fluctuate and then plummet when they rotate, yes, because prices of EDH staples typically only creep up. If you're trying to make a profit, that's a little harder.
    4. As Wizards supports it more, it'll keep growing. If you read through these forums, one thing you'll notice is that the "casuals" and the "competitors" clash a lot. Tournament EDH isn't recognized by the Rules Comittee (in the sense that they don't ban cards either to make the format balanced like Wizards does, and they don't ban because 1% of the community wants to break the format). There are tournaments out there, however.

You have help me make a decision. I hope Wizards releases new commander products every year.

I have made a decision then, trading in my standard decks to finally finish the Teysa commander deck I'm building. Plus I could build another 2 or 3 decks with the leftover as the Teysa deck sets me back about $220, giving me extra for a few more good ones. Any suggestions on other commanders?
