Radiating chaos warp sounds fun until you have 30 permanents being warped and you reveal a spell from the top of your deck on your first warp, technically you reveal it 30 times but w/e.

You know you can only use black cards right? You act like mono black has so many silver bullets that running a million tutors will be a good strategy. The best thing you can tutor to kill an enchantment is oblivion stone, which conveniently also answers other threats.

Why dont you just run some good tutors and get a temporal aperture mirari or planar portal if you don't have anything better to get.

I play Mono Green Control with 46 Lands
    http://mtgcommander.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11619

The idea is you get full value out of genesis wave when you only have 13 non-permanent cards in your deck, and you aren't reliant on mana ramp spells to have a good game so the deck is more consistent instead of explosive.

I can't help but suggesting Lost in the woods I would play it in my deck if I was using more than 18-19 forests - it just seems like such a funny thing to do in EDH.

I think Torpor Orb is a savage beating in EDH, but you have to design your deck around it so that it doesn't affect you.

    Cloudthresher is a house
    Greater Good is amazing
Pelakka Wurm is a good big guy
    Beast Within
Chord of Calling is a really good instant
Dungrove Elder is good in your deck
Green Sun Zenith if you are okay with tutors.

You can use Melira, Sylvok Outcast with your woodfall primus if you want to be a douche like me.

I would cut swiftfoot boots from your deck at the very least. I don't think using extra cards to protect a general thats already cheap to cast is worth it. If it were me I'd go ahead and cut every equipment except lightning greaves and possibly loxodon warhammer in favor of better cards.

I managed to sell a set to SCG for 10 each. I will just bide my time on the rest of them then. Thanks.

Not bragging, but I have 12 of these Knight Exemplar promos now and I don't know what the best way to get rid of them is. I don't know any collectors in my local area and I've never sold anything on e-bay before.

I sent some e-mails to a few online retailers and waiting to hear back from them still.

What do you guys recommend I do to get the most value out of them?

Its probably because we play against riku decks all day long. There are almost double digit riku players at my LGS and I have yet to see one that's meaningfully different. Edric is a top tier french general, and he gets tons of play as well.

It's not that Mirror Mastery is bad, just overused IMO. I started on Riku when the sets first came out and I've come a long, long way since then.

If you do something unique with your riku deck you should share it here, but copying Primeval Titans and Consecrated Sphinxes is just obnoxious.

Mimeoplasm and Damia both offer more room for creativity than the Ghave deck IMO.

DEFINITELY avoid buying Riku, I made that mistake. The general was fun, but as my deck continued to evolve it just got so boring to play. Not saying there is a deck which you cant make douchey, just that theres way more ways to be creative with Devour for Power.

A friend of mine plays a Damia deck that works like the old standard Zombie-Upheaval decks. Another friend of his plays a Damia that runs beatdown/backup control strategy.

I typically frequent Galatic Force (which Sigismond0 mentioned). It's pretty laid back, but no outside food/drink. The owner is pretty slack on an end time as well as he has stayed open well past closing time to let us finish a game. There is a $4 "buy something to play" sort of fee, but it usually just means picking up a booster pack or a couple sodas.

Im friends with Marc on facebook and he seems like a cool guy to me. If I go to a game store, im going to spend money or at the very least make a trade; but the whole spend money or gtfo attitude is kind of a turn off. I know Marc has strong feelings about loiterers though.

I would like to go to the Dice Dojo, and Prime Time to play sometime soon, since I haven't been to either store. What days are best?

I play at a small shop called Prime Time sports Collectibles. I like it because it's not crowded at all and I know people there. It's pretty much the same crowd every week with a few extras that show up, and it's nice for someone like me who dislikes big crowds of strangers.

Plus the owners are more than fair with their prize pools and such. It's a quality over quantity type of shop.

I haven't tried the Goat yet because there was a guy promoting it that I knew (He was a fat, smelly, obnoxious dude) and every time I mentioned Prime Time, he would butt in to say the Goat was better. It turned me off to the shop, and I know that's unfair (every place has a few tools I guess) but I really don't want to deal with that guy again and I know I would see him there.

Was he an older philapeno guy by chance?

The problem is that its always a 2 card combo for a weak effect. The cream of the crop is probably the old gifts engine. Hana Kami + Death Denied + Goryo's Vengance

You would probably get alot of mileage out of a Ranger of Eos package. Mother of Runes is an honorary hate-bear. Tajuru Preserver shuts down Eldrazi. Devoted Caretaker and Sylvan Safekeeper protect teeg. Aura Shards is wtf pwnage against many decks, especially when combined with a sick gating creature Stonecloaker Kataki, the Wars Rage.

I don't think I would run both sylvan AND worldly tutor, they are kind of awkward as is without a Scroll Rack.

You can cut the Null rod and keep the more resilient Stony Silence. Just use another tutor like Academy Rector

Starved Rusalka is kind of terrible.Saffi eriksdotter is a better combo piece.

Running both swiftfoot boots and lightning greaves is also a waste. If you have teeg wearing boots everything else is fine.

Swords to plowshares is way better than condemn since there will be guys you just cant get with it, yeah tucking a general is great - but the generals you NEED to tuck are either hexproof or stay home during combat.

Oblivion ring is kind of lazy deck building since it doesn't hit anything you can't deal with in your colors. You can use stuff like Natures Claim.

the one ramp spell is kind of awkward too, you might just want to cut it for rampy creatures, or just stay a land behind with land tax and nomad. Knight of the white orchid is better than dawntreader elk.

I cant help noticing you aren't running Avenger of Zendikar alongside your Cradle either.

You would probably not want to play the ramp enchantments unless you were playing an Enchantress style deck where you get way more extra mana, and extra cards out of them.

I hate when people play sakura tribe elder then immediately sac him. Like you are going to spend 5 mana to genesis it back and replay it next turn. Aren't there better things to do with 5 mana? like tap another forest and play prime time?

IMO Primeval Titan is the best ramp spell, followed closely by Oracle of Mul-Daya. Both are BIS for sure.

Just interested in gaming with some new people, and I wanted to see if there are any players who may not go out to game stores to play commander that want to meet up and play/trade with some new people.

I've been to a lot of different LGS's to play Commander with mixed results, so far I like the one closest to my house the best.

I live in Elgin, and I play at The Gaming Goat almost every Sunday for their Commander league day. I like it because there is a nice range of players with super casual, fun decks to cutthroat competitive decks depending on how you feel like playing.

Where do you like to play Commander?

Re: Increasing Ambition, the reason you play and copy rather than wait until you hit enough mana is because 12 mana is about 50x less than 19 mana, especially outside of green or Urborg/Coffers shenanigans. It also gets increasingly more difficult as you try and get up to enough damage to finish off a table. I'm still not a fan outside of specific archetypes, but it does have its uses.

Re: Reiterate, it's not for every deck. The number of aggressive red decks that try and slap it in is definitely too high; it's part of the danger of cool things. In a more controlling R or R/x deck, it's fantastic. There's also possible value in buying it back once and holding up 3 mana - even if you don't copy anything, your opponents need to allow for the possibility that you can. Whether or not it actually dissuades anyone from making plays is hard to say, but it's a nice thought.

I'd have a hard time fitting increasing ambition into a multi-color deck. In red its hard to find quality edh cards under 3 mana, and sometimes one of those spells is the best in slot - but with blue or black in the deck id rather have a tainted pact/demonic tutor/impulse/trick bind you know?

I consider Reroute to be a red staple, and always find a use for it whenever I draw it, especially vs utility lands and planeswalkers, e.g. changing their Wasteland to target their own Gaea's Cradle, or redirecting a Sorin Markov -3 activation. The cantrip is so much gravy. However, it is still inferior to Stifle and Voidslime.

I like this card alot, I think im going to try it in something. I play a mono green control deck with Bind in it, which I always like.

In EDH I've noticed, that I really enjoy playing super-narrow nichey cards that no one expects or has heard of.

A guy at my LGS has a boner for Mental Misstep in EDH; which should only be good for the first 2 minutes of a half hour game but somehow always gets there. You know he is playing a game because you will hear him playing "the final countdown" on his phone and windmill slamming Mental Misstep on the table when his outraged opponent tries to cast a sol ring.
