If anything this article has destroyed my hopes of seeing Ral in this block. They normally don't put a name there unless the card has been spoiled and in this article they explicitly said that he was created with the sole purpose of DOTP promotional material in mind.
There was some talk about the faction boosters in the moderated chat during the live panel they recently did. The guy pretty much confirmed that it's a full booster (so incl 3 uncommon 1 rare) that can contain any card that has a guild watermark on it.
I'm very dissapointed that Ral won't be showing up in RTR. If he won't show up in Sinker and we'd still not have a U/R walker I think I'll loose a fair chunck of faith in WotC. I'm sure the large amount of others who voted for Izzet as their favorite guild agree!
They might be building up to it though; Niv's big secret project might just be creating a little planeswalking pet!
Just my 2 cents here ... the megacycle of overpowered two-drops makes sense as a cycle for other reasons but their casting cost. In my opinion, one of them is that they all have abilities that are quite unique to their respective color but do fit very well.
For example, Tarmogoyf has weird graveyard interaction; Confidant gives black card draw; Snapcaster gives blue efficient flashback; SFM gives white efficient tutoring.
Piledriver gives red .. a big tribal beater. For that reason alone I don't think he can be counted towards this cycle. Something like an actually good red looter would fit this cycle, IMHO.
Again... it's too early to have physical cards for the fall set. Unless this person is sitting there at the printers... I call fakityfake fake. Besides, they said at the Comic Con event that that was a BASIC LAND art.
Stop saying that. They didnt, they were all LAND art. While this is likely fake Im convinced that the last pic they showed was Temple Garden.
Yesterday we encountered something in an EDH game that we couldn't find the answer for. I twincasted a Cultural Exchange using Chandra, the Firebrand's -2 ability.
I only had one creature in control and targeted it twice for both copies of Cultural Exchange, figuring my opponent would get the one creature and I would get two. However, as we resolved the first copy I reread Cultural Exchange and wondered if I should get both of my opponent's creatures (including my original one) from the second spell's effect? Since it says to swap control of the creatures between players and those two creatures are the target of it?
I doubt this is how it works but I'm just very curious about the rulings that apply here. Thanks in advance.
I personally really like the block - 8/10. I would have scored it higher if only Avacyn Restored would have been done right. I also feel like more design space could have been utilized as far as DFC and some keyword abilities are concerned (mostly morbid and flashback).
Very sad pandas.

There were three black planeswalkers in Innistrad block.
