I don't think that life loss is going to be too much of a problem in Mono Black Control since M14 gave us back Corrupt but even still I would probably choose Underworld Connections before Read the Bones.
The deck looks like a pretty solid starting point but up against Naya Blitz I doubt your going to make it to turn four without missing a few limbs if you know what I mean.
Automatic 4 of probably not but worth testing definitely. you cant know what goodies we will be getting until all of M14 is spoiled. Hopefully a great green PW
Yea I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I was just thinking, because as we all know, Innistrad is going to cycle out sooner than later. When Strangleroot Geist is gone, we're going to have to put something in that :symg::symg: slot.
Ah ok, so you haven't tested him yet. Before Warren, a player going by the alias "Kabelis" took an entire online event with his version of Mono-Green Aggro using a playset of the Mayor in the mainboard.
When approached about the deck, Frank had this to say:
"I realize that I did go a bit overboard by throwing my entire sideboard overboard. In all fairness, a sideboard of 11 basic lands, 1 Worldspine Wurm (as a good luck charm), and 3 Fiend Hunter or 3 Nearheath Pilgrim would have been better. Fiend Hunter or Nearheath Pilgrim are likely better than Thalia, Guardian of Thraben in the mirror match, while not diluting any synergies.... Even though I went overboard, there's a lesson here: Don't over-sideboard. Keep synergies intact. Don't dilute your main game plan. Ask yourself whether or not a sideboard card is truly an improvement. For a highly focused deck like Naya Blitz, sideboarding can do more harm than good."
Sideboard?
Turn 1: Champion of the Parish
Turn 2: Burning-Tree Emissary + Burning-Tree Emissary + Flinthoof Boar
Two 3/3 creatures, and two 2/2 creatures, ON TURN 2. What other deck in standard can deal with that?
Turn 2: Predator Ooze

What do you all make of this?:afoot:
I myself LOVE the Hydra cards, but I think they need something like Alpha Authority on them to grow.
So what do you say? Automatic 4 of?
