Thoughts? Very very very off curve. Almost a reason to not even think about it. Though... Considering just how low the curve this deck tends to run, I could see this as being a wincon. Drop him, and fill your hand with gas over and over. I don't see you losing after dropping him unless someone beats you to the punch before you untap.
But, it IS BBB... Really iffy just for that one issue.
It's a very bad idea. This is not a reanimator deck nor does it have enough ramp, there's no way you can reliably get an eight mana creature into play fast enough for it to be useful.
And am I the only one using Sword of the Animist? The thing is SO GOOD!!! The buff isn't the use of it. You use it to slap it on a token, send it to it's death and it ramps..
I use it It's an autoinclude in any creature based non-green deck.
You should never play wheel effects in Commander, since they give your opponents way more card advantage than you (unless you're playing combo of course, then they're amazing). Also, filtering is not card advantage and should not be played outside graveyard shenanigans.
Smuggler's Copter is not card draw, so it can be cut. Humble Defector gives your opponents more card draw over time, so unless you have a sac outlet you should skip that as well. Skullclamp might not be ideal if you go voltron or creature light, but it's generally a good include so keep it for now but flag it for playtesting. Grenzo, Havoc Raiser is amazing with evasive equipments, which you should have plenty of in this deck. Keep it. Prophetic Flamespeaker is probably good for the same reason. Memory Jar is solid. Mind's Eye is the best card draw you have access to, never cut it. Sword of Fire and Ice is also an autoinclude. Dragon Mage gives your opponents more card advantage than you, and should be cut.
Now for some suggestions: Outpost Siege is in my top 5 red card draw list, it's amazing. Often better than Grenzo and flamespeaker since they both need to connect to give you card advantage, while this card just sits there and does it every turn regardless.
The new Oracle's Vault is basically an Outpost Siege with a 2 mana upkeep cost for three turns, after which it turns into basically an Aetherworks Marvel without energy cost. Highly recommended. Avarice Amulet pumps and gives you a card every upkeep. Only equip on your general so it doesn't change controller. Mask of Memory nets you a card and throws in some selection as well, it's really good. Assuming you have evasion of course. Rogue's Gloves is the same as above, minus the selection. Staff of Nin costs a lot to cast, but then it's a free card every turn. Definitely worth the initial cost. Tamiyo's Journal gives free clues every turn and can also tutor if you want. I always include it in my red and white decks. Magnifying Glass has a hideous activation cost, 6 mana for one card! However, it's also a mana rock and thus useful the entire game. I've found that it's very nice to have lying around lategame when you're out of cards but have a bazillion mana available. But don't count it as actual card draw since it's so expensive to activate, include it in your mana rock count and see the occasional clue as a bonus instead.
All these Amonkhet Gods strike me as meh for the format. They just don't do much beyond attack, block, and reduce life totals. Kefnet the Mindful is probably the best, because drawing cards. Oketra the True comes in second for voltron potential. Rhonas the Indomitable fight.dec with Arena and company seems like the most fun.
The monocolored Theros Gods aren't amazing in EDH either, with the exception of Purphoros, God of the Forge, but they at least do relevant things.
Theros gods not amazing for EDH? O.o You're kidding right? The fact that they're indestructible utility cards makes them very useful. Erebos is a staple card draw in black, and the second most powerful god thanks to the static effect that just wreck some decks in a lot of situations, and Nylea is used in a lot of decks as green evasion. Thassa is less used, but some decks like the evasion (Marchesa, Brago, and so on). Heliod is not amazing, but I've seen him be used occasionally. Vigilance is not to be underestimated.
Of the multicolor gods I've seen Xenagos, Karametra, Ephara and Kruphix used in a lot of decks, since their effects are very powerful. Iroas and Keranos has seen some play every now and then, but they're rarer.
A lot of the Theros gods are basically staples in the format.
Of the Amonkhet gods I'd say Rhonas will probably see a lot of play and Oketra will see some play, but none of these new gods are on the level of the Theros gods.
Anointed Procession is going to be so broken in this deck. Endrek sahr generates 4 times more creatures to sac, Xathrid necromancer becomes 9 sacs instead of 4, and Sengir autocrat becomes whooping 21 sacrifices. And it's 4cmc, so you can tutor for it with house guard.
For reference:
Did I mention that one time I played my Teysa deck with Planechase, and ended up on Selesnya Loft Gardens? I won that game... I've longed for a token doubling effect ever since, and now it's here! Anointed Procession will be insane in this deck. So much in fact that I'll definitely find a slot for Restoration Specialist so I can recur it.
Does anyone know what happened to the energy tokens? They said they missed printing them in Kaladesh but that they would be available "in future print runs".
What happened to flip lili? I did a search of the threat and there were a lot of people being hype for it, but I don't see it in your list anymore. BTW thanks for this thread, everyone. Teysa was my first Commander deck some years ago and is still my favourite. This thread has been massively helpful the whole way.
I've been playing her in my list since the day she arrived in the mailbox She's awesome value.
... And speaking of awesome value, has anyone else tried Tymna the Weaver?
Flickering Ward, Shackles and Cage of Hands for repeatable experience counters. Cage and Shackles are good as pseudo removal, ward can be used for defense early game and unblockable offence later in the game when you start pumping out huge tokens.
As prevously mentioned, Warping Wail is an actual counterspell against most wraths. You need to have at least 10 colorless sources, but that's no problem with painlands, filterlands and such. I've put Warping Wail in all my non-blue decks that are sensitive to wraths, and it's been amazing.
I tried Aetherworks Marvel this weekend, and it's absolutely amazing! Scry 6 and play one card for free, every goddamn turn! I actually had to intentionally skip a few combo pieces to make the game last longer, it got so ridiculously easy to find what I needed. I was worried that I might not be able to accumulate energy at a fast enough rate, but because of Teysas ability any black creature gave me 2 energy (and sometimes more), so my worries were completely unfounded. I actually accumulated more energy than I could spend, and I only had one sacrifice effect and one token generator out! It wasn't even at the stage where the deck does unfair (and convoluted) things.
Dethrone: Literally Marchesa, the Black Rose
The deck plays like an aggressive sacrifice/ETB deck, but the dethrone mechanic makes it feel very different from other such decks. And you get to use lots of wierd cards that interacts with +1/+1 counters (Chasm Skulker, River Kelpie, Unspeakable Symbol).
Morph: Preferably Animar, Soul of Elements
Once Animar has 3 counters all your morphs cost 0 to cast. You can do a lot of fun stuff from there.
Ulvenwald Hydra
Basically for every green deck ever, especially my Karador and Riku decks. When the card first was spoiled I was obviously excited about the "get any land"-ability, but after seeing it being played this weekend I've found that I'm actually more excited about its scalable size and the fact that it has reach. I often seem to have trouble with flying generals, or just big flying beaters in general, and this thing acts as a huge roadblock for those.
Also, it's going to be pretty insane with Blade of Selves =)
The Gitrog Monster
Hopefully it's as awesome as it looks, I'll try building the deck and see how it turns out.

If I would've picked 10 cards for a Godo list, they would be as follows:
#1 Mind's Eye
#2 Sword of Fire and Ice
#3 Avarice Amulet
#4 Outpost Siege
#5 Oracle's Vault
#6 Tamiyo's Journal
#7 Staff of Nin
#8 Memory Jar
#9 Mask of Memory
#10 Rogue's Gloves

Wasn't Sorin killed by Nahiri on Innistrad?
You really must try this card
Trigger stuff when lands enter the battlefield. Rampaging Baloths, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, Retreat to Hagra.
Or do stuff with lands in your graveyeard: Worm Harvest, Centaur Vinecrasher.
Upkeep: Any general with enough colors will do. I'd personally go with Sliver Queen or Child of Alara
Do stuff only in your upkeep, use cards such as Strionic Resonator and Paradox Haze to get more triggers.
Example cards: Starfield of Nyx, Assemble the Legion, Bringer of the Black Dawn, Chronomantic Escape.

The Gitrog Monster
Hopefully it's as awesome as it looks, I'll try building the deck and see how it turns out.
Hanweir Militia Captain/Westvale Cult Leader
Teysa, Orzhov Scion will hopefully like this one, since it's basically a Bitterblossom that makes tokens for both her abilities.
Wolf of Devil's Breach
It's going to be awesome in Horde of Notions. Discard a big elemental and then reanimate it with Horde.
Relentless Dead
Obviously good in zombie tribal.
Anguished Unmaking
Premium removal, will buy it for future use.
Olivia, Mobilized for War
On paper it seems pretty good in Marchesa, the Black Rose. I'll try it out and see how good it is.
Open the Armory
I'll get one for my Aurelia, the Warleader deck, since it has a lot of equipments that could use another tutor.
