I'm making a custom card. It's a 2/1 artifact creature for 2 that has the following static ability (worded clumsily): "Permanents and players lose all protection-abilities." The point is that every permanent loses protection from black, red, lands, multicolored, everything, including True-Name Nemesis' protection from player. Players also lose any protection (in case future design space start making cards that give players protection from colors, instants, sorceries, etc. But how do I phrase this correctly?
So, if I have x2 Waste Not on the battlefield and hit my opponent with Hymn To Tourach, forcing him to discard a land and a creature, do I get BBBB and two zombie-tokens?
People aren't all that quick when it comes to playing with new cards that might be good in a few narrow decks. People play the hell out of cards True-Name Nemesis because it's easy to see decks where this card will shine, but Dack Fayden can't be shoved (mindlessly?) into preexisting tier 1 legacy-decks. It took quite a while before the wider community caught on to how potent Thespian's Stage is with Dark Depths. People knew about the combo, but it wasn't really played that much.
No Damnation, which makes me think it might be reprinted in Conspiracy.
This is the third time this has been posted here. It is a confirmed fake for multiple reasons, including font-matching, failure to show the bottoms of the cards that have not been fully revealed, Smokestack (Igor K) claiming he had art that should be in this and isn't, and so forth. I think printing legendary duals in Commander products is an excellent idea. Each of the five precons from Commander 2015 (or would it be 2016?) could contain 2 legendary duals. And the precons in the Commander release after that could reprint the legendary duals, just like Sol Ring keeps getting reprinted. This constant trickle of supply would help keep prices manageable. If they also reprinted Wasteland and Force of Will in two new Planechase products (new cardframe and artwork from MTGO Cube), keeping in mind that this would not be a limited release and would be for sale in Target, Walmart etc., this would go a long way making legacy more accessible.
I cannot imagine they want this card in standard. My guess: There will be a judge-foil released sometime during the next two years. (As was the case with Flusterstorm.)
Griselbrand is by far the most powerful demon. He was known as "Griselbanned" in legacy for quite some time. (Even though the ban never came, quite strange considering that Yawgmoth's Bargain is banned; Griselbrand is much easier to get on the battlefield.)
With the printing of Abrupt Decay, are there any compelling reasons to play monoblack pox compared to G/B loampox? It was incredibly annoying when I played monoblack not to be able to deal with stuff like Counterbalance, Pithing Needle (on Lilliana or Scroll), etc.
Also, if you decline to run Maze of Ith because it doesn't produce mana, why do you run The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale? Maze of Ith hinders attacks while Tabernacle has a stax-like effect and paints a target on your forehead. I'm not criticising here, just considering making a similar U/W Control with Grand Arbiter and voicing a few questions.
re: Maze of ith
I tried running it, but didn't have the space for a singleton card that is a bit tough to tutor up if needed. I am running Kor Haven, which I like much better as it produces mana
re: Academy Rector
It was in the original list, but got cut. Without a way to sack it, I found it was getting avoided until someone could RFG it. Just too unreliable in this deck.
re: Invoke Prejudice
Tried this one as well and then cut it. 4 blue was sometimes tough to cast, and the strategy here is to pillow-fort instead of dramatically aggravating everyone else and drawing all the hate. I'd much rather hinder incoming attacks thank draw aggro from the whole table.
re: Winning
This deck plays the long game. I've 90% of the matches I've played with this deck through Luminarch Ascension, and the rest through Planeswalkers. Remember, this deck is designed to keep the table under control until you can win through inevitability. I would love to add an Entreat the Angels and have considered it. I'll have to test that out. The other option is to add Rest in Peace[/CARD] and a Helm of Obedience. That would help for graveyard hate as well.
If you would rather hinder incoming attacks than draw aggro from the whole table, how come you play Grand Arbiter as general? Doesn't he draw hate from the moment you reveal him? I'm actually in the process of making a new deck and really like U/W Control, but I'm considering going for a less threatening general like Rasputin Dreamweaver or Hanna, Ship's Navigator
It's fairly active, I know I've posted there more than once this past week

Tainted Sea
Land - Swamp Island
Tainted Sea comes into play tapped unless you gain 1 Infect.
Broken black cards:
Yawgmoth's Will
Demonic Tutor
Vampiric Tutor
Demonic Consultation
Griselbrand is a black card from a recent set that is incredibly powerful.
No Modern Masters spoilers

Also, when I read through your list I also contemplated Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience. However, it doesn't really jive that well with Replenish or Crucible of Worlds.
