A fumigate without the lifegain, but at a 2 mana discount? It might see play. Too bad it doesn't stop Cat combo. Mardu vehicles is going to love it.
These new lands will probably make a Revolt deck viable in standard. The life loss is a pain, but wow. That's going to change the entire face of standard more than the bans ever did.
Oh I know I was insanely lucky and that was boxes not cases. I was just saying from the experience we had at my lgs, we had much higher ratios. Maybe they were corrected is all I am saying.
Out of 300 prerelease boxes and prize packs cases there was a lotus petal, all 3 swords, aether vile, red gearhulk, 2 green gear hulk, simularcum, sol ring, greaves, helm, 8 or 9 chandras. The ratio we were getting was something like 1/275 packs. In contrast during bfz we had 37 with the same number of participants. It was far higher. I bought 3 boxes of bfz and opened 2 in one box and 1 in each of the others. The ratios seemed to be way off from what they were.
So say for arguements sake wizards some how finds a way to enforce msrp. What would be opinions on that? I stated rarity upshifts were for draft. I will also acknowledge some were because of the secondary market. I dont see anyone talking about the growing player base affecting prices. Magic is growing and with it the player base. I think the increased interest warps prices more than anything. As for the dying format theory. People have been saying that about boxing, baseball, legacy and many other things for years. Still here
The rarity shifts are for draft. Wizards either makes precons or sets to draft. They don't just make sets and say here are some cards. That would be infinitely stupid considering price point. Are you expecting every card to be fantastic? I do agree mm13 had good cards spread out through the rarities better. Mm15 muffed the uncommon and below value and they did better in this set. Honestly they don't have to even reprint anything at all. You can have your opinion on improvements ect ect but what about some gratitude that they even care enough to anything at all. Magic players especially the younger ones seem pretty spoiled to me. Hey let me go buy a 4 dollar pack. I better get 16 foil mythics, I only got 15 in my last pack.
The 99 per box is absurd, standard boxes are hard to come by in my area at that price. That being said 10 a pack is too high, the masters set should have stayed 6.99 and the price enforced. The print run should have been double what mm15 was for all the master sets. Wizards isn't making a bunch of money off of this set. They are attempting to reduce the prices on the secondary markets but they frankly suck at it. If you print at 4 a pack and devalue the cards too much you will crash the market like what happened with yugioh. If everyone could just have every card why would we even play. The cards would be worthless. It is just like any rarity or thing you pay for. You can get a dollar burger at wendys or pay for a filet mignon. I am tired of people trying to make others feel bad for having money and being successful. I was born into poverty and my parents worked their asses off as did I when I was in the military. They became successful and I surpassed them. I am tired of cry babies wanting everything handed to them.
Same whiney trolls that complain about every set which basically says you're broke or one of those folks who wants the world handed to them for 4 dollars and smile. The set is fine.
You are kidding right?
Ob nixilus, sorin, kiora and nissa dissagree. Arlinn was also a werewolf. Im pretty certain it is about a 50/50 split at this point
It is a game of thrones.....
