No, that's now how Fume Spitter and Geralf's Messenger will work.
Fume Spitter will put a -1/-1 counter on it, while Geralf's Messenger's undying puts a +1/+1 counter on it. Key thing is that they're two different tokens, and undying checks only for the +1/+1 from undying. Hex Parasite can reset the undying mechanic. Fume Spitter will not.
Come on Titus, you know better than that. +1's and -1's cancel eachother out. If he however, somehow DIES from the -1/-1, with a +1/+1 then he wont return because SBA still see's the +1/+1, iirc. Thats probably why your mixing it up.
To be honest, I use my Binder as more of a storage center than just for trades. I keep my playables in there. Not jank commons I'd find anywhere, but any rares I have I do store in it, so I wont necisarrily want to trade them all.
It's most definitely better than Solar Flare from all the testing I've done with it. The deck is VERY solid and the way it can just grind out games is quite impressive.
My thoughts exactly, though it still plays out like a Solar Flare deck, complete with Sun Titan/Image Chains, Elesh, Unburial and so on.
You forget, people like to pimp their stuff out. From sleeves to lands. People will spend ~$1-$10 on basic lands just for the art. That, with foils, promos and alters, people spend WAY too much on their magic cards.
$250 for a mat might seem like a lot but it's in lower supply than any single card from Alpha. Would you spend $250 on a mat? Apparently not. Would I? Nope. But I think the mat is worth it's price and I think it looks amazing.
Now, you want to talk about really offtopic, outlandish prices for things? Take a look at goblin settler. Just a few months ago it was $20 and now it's $55-$60. It isn't played in legacy, vintage or any other format other than EDH. That's ridiculous for a card that's essentially been reprinted in a better form.
inb4 the debate of 2RR vs 3R, 2/1 haste vs 1/1, non-basic vs any. I don't think those argument points weight $60.
Actually there is a big difference. Settler can hit basics, and it doesn't need to be kicked. Meaning any way you can duplicate it, or cut costs means that it's more efficient. Example, Kiki Jiki, will let you destroy a land every time, with Ruinblaster you cant/
It's essentially drawing a card everytime you hit a land, and against control, or in mirrors, those 1/1's are deadly, for the same reason Squadron Hawks were. They present a clock and kill PW's without commiting resources. None the less, I don't like the card in any sort of deck.
Ugh. This has nothing to do with losing some tokens. Taking 14 damage is completely irrelevant if he can't get any past you after that.
But once your at 4, every single creature becomes a serious threat and it puts you in a bad position. If everything goes right, your going to win even if you chump, but if it goes poorly, that 4 life left could be very relevant.
I took 24 Lands, and the rest some other cards.
And lets say after a long game, you really have played all your lands (unlikely but just follow me with it)
Then for a start I used the normal overhand shuffle, a lot, but as expected, there were "huge" chunks of 3+ lands still there.
Then I put the lands back into one pile again, and tried the old multiple piles, then shuffle thing, which of course also didn´t work.
I think land reseeding is ok if enough shuffling is done afterwards so nobody can say anything,.
Also I know that a good trickster or card magician can basically follow a card while shuffling, and will be able to place a certain 4of card (like a leyline) in such a way, that nearly any technique used by the opponent (like cutting or a quick shuffle) won´t change his chances, to get the leyline at the beginning, very much.
It would be ignorrant to think that there are no tricksters, who might play straight the whole rest of the game but like to give themselves this hard to catch advantage by special shuffling techniques., but there are other problems to deal with.
An Overhand shuffle is not sufficient. Unless you mean mash shuffling. But I don't think you do. If you mash shuffle around 30 times, true mash shuffling, it should be enough.
This coverage thing was all addressed at the last PT. I hate it to, and think it's total BS, but they have said that we will be getting real live coverage in 2012 throughout.
You all have to remember that times change. Budget back in the day was very very different from what it is today. You simply can't build a deck with any chance of winning for less than 100 bucks, unless there just happens to be a very good deck that is not expensive (Like Pyro).
Come on Titus, you know better than that. +1's and -1's cancel eachother out. If he however, somehow DIES from the -1/-1, with a +1/+1 then he wont return because SBA still see's the +1/+1, iirc. Thats probably why your mixing it up.
Yes please?
Like what for Norin? I run him as my EDH General, so I'd be interested to see more of him.

Pile shuffling alone is never enough.
