he's right. Where the game checks for abilities and instant's that can be placed on the stack it allows him to make that move. Basically when you played Timely Reinforcements he places the sac option of Ember Hauler on the stack. If no other plays are made, Ember Hauler sac takes place and then Timely Reinforcements does the check for the opponent's life.

That error is usually an error for an account that wasn't setup completely when you first went to set it up. I had the same problem. I had to completely re-register. Their tech support had to go in and unlock the username so that I could use it.

I'm sorry is this is considered spam or not, but something is confusing me a lot about this: Is this just a general Deathtouch question with an odd scenario to it or is there a reason for the specific scenario?

In other words, what would be the difference between Player B blocking with just a single Grizzly, since the Slime will be blocked and die regardless.

I may just be overthinking, but reading the OP's scenario and the responses make me think I'm missing something important... Redface

The difference is that only one grizzly would die, where as the other way both would die. I think this was more of a way for the OP to get a better understanding of the deathtouch mechanic. But then again who am I to say.

with that logic Bayou would be a basic land too which it isnt

theres nothing in the forset type which screams "basic" as beeing basic is a super type (as already explained a few posts earlier)

Ok I should have put the Basic Land Forest instead of Forest but, what I was talking about where basic forests and not the ones that have the type of forest. So I change my original statement.

Ok so if a land isn't a basic land, it is then automatically considered non basic?

Pretty much. If it doesn't say that they are basic forests then they are non basic forest

Hard to say. Since the life and limb states that they are forests, but doesnt stated that they are a basic land as well as their other types though forest is a basic land. So I'd say you would kill yourself but I'm not sure, as I am no judge.

always the possibility their going to bring back merfolk and use that as U/W. who knows we could always see a come back of the threshold mechanic, since it plays off the graveyard

I wouldn't hold my breath on a GUI overhaul, when you get to thinking about all the cards that can be used in MTGOand how some sets have the same card but different illustration the money and time it would take to develop and host such a thing would be unbelievable.

davidkk: the only place that I've found that has a level playing field as far as money is concerned is in pre-release and drafting events or other sealed type of events

As everyone else has stated causing for the person who mulligans to loose one card each time keeps things more fair. And to discourage people from taking advantage of it and keep mulliganing until they have the best hand. Though when my and my buddies get together to play we give the first mulligan free and if its an all land mulligan we usually allow them to keep one basic land (chosen at random) and then re-shuffle and draw 6 or if they have no lands we let them flip cards over till they come across a basic land and then shuffle and draw 6

as Luck said, I see fake Yu-gi-oh fake boosters, theme decks and singles at about every flea market I go to. I have never ran across fake magic cards besides someone that has taken a basic land and glued to it for test decking.

I always liked this card. I'd be running a blue white control with a splash of black. I kept these and Black Knights in side board. You talking about a confused look on a players face when your playing control and then during the second match you glimpse them. Their like where the BLEEP did that just come from. I always found it to be priceless.
