I've only played a few games with it so far, and they were against U/B Zombies. One game was really close, we had traded board control until I had a Wardriver with 4 +1/+1 counters on him, attacking for 5 and Goblin Grenading for the win. Another match I had an Inkmoth Nexus with a bunch of counters on it as well, but it ended up getting sacrificed to a Geth's Verdict, so the other guy just barely beat me.
It seems competitive, but I think I was just up against a deck that's a little too strong right now.
Let's say I have a Mortarpod on the battlefield under my control, and my opponent controls a Goblin Arsonist.
It's my opponent's turn. She casts Goblin Grenade, sacrificing the Arsonist. In response, I sacrifice the creature attached to Mortarpod and target the 1 damage at the Goblin Arsonist. My opponent responds to this by casting Galvanic Blast, targeting the creature that was attached to my Mortarpod.
My question is: is a sacrificed creature still a valid target for an ability on the stack? Will my Mortarpod still be able to target my opponent's Goblin Arsonist after it's already been sacrificed to pay for Goblin Grenade? Can my opponent still target my Germ token after it's been sacrificed to my Mortarpod?
I've got a Grimoire of the Dead in play, untapped, with 3 counters on it. It's my opponent's turn and they play a Bojuka Bog, targeting my graveyard. Can I tap and sacrifice my Grimoire to purge all graveyards as a response to my graveyard being targeted, and still get all of the creatures before they get exiled?
No dark ascension coming up for me either, even though it tells me its already downloaded as soon as you install the app. I tried deleting and installing it again, but no dice. Anyone else having the same issues, or got any fixes??
Not showing up for me either. Went to "Content Update" and it says Dark Ascension has been downloaded, but none of the cards are showing up in the card search. I tried quitting the app, restarting the phone, etc. but nothing seems to work.
I don't claim to be an expert deckbuilder, which is why I'm here looking for advice. I didn't read through all of the previous 31 pages of decks and analysis either. I'm pretty new to this. But I appreciate your constructive criticism.
I really like Black Cat's synergy with Smallpox, Grimgrin, Corpse-Born and Undying Evil, and it makes for a decent chump blocker to boot. I know most people overlook this card in favor for Highborn Ghoul but I'm willing to give it a chance, so it made the short list for now.
Grimgrin, Corpse-Born is a pretty underrated dude. He's a 5-drop, so he comes down sooner than a titan, and he makes for a good sacrifice outlet for Gravecrawler, Geralf's Messenger and Black Cat, and with Undying Evil in the deck, you can instantly bring back one of your sacrificed creatures. The recycling loop combo of Gravecrawler + Grimgrin is excellent and can make Grimgrin absolutely huge. Plus, he's got built-in creature removal. Feed Grimgrin. Love Grimgrin.
Grave Titan takes the clean-up spot, with Zombie Apocalypse as support. Got board advantage? Grave Titan will win it for you. Just suffered a board sweep and all your best dudes are in the graveyard? Zombie Apocalypse is the answer. And heck, if one of those resurrected zombies is Grimgrin, you can just sac a whole bunch of your newly-ressurected zombies (i.e. Geralf's Messenger to activate it's Undying ability and make opponent lose 2 more life, or Black Cat to force a discard) to Grimgrin to untap him.
I won a 3-player FNM the other night with my deck. It was against a green ramp/control deck with Frost Titan, Dungrove Elder, Phantasmal Image, Genesis Wave... and a WUB flashback deck with Delver, a couple Titans, and Liliana.

It's a super-low mana curve, and Infernal Plunge helps with that, so I dropped to 18 lands. While testing this deck, I noticed that it wasn't as fast as I'd hoped it would be, but a miraculous appearance by Koth when I was 1 turn away from losing helped me win the game.
Still heavy on the Battle Cry effects: Signal Pest, Wardriver, Hero, Contested War Zone (11 cards total). Memnite or a 0-cost Chimeric Mass can be Rebirthed on 1st turn. Ichor Wellspring makes a nice target for Rebirth as you get to draw 2 cards for 3 mana, in addition to spawning three goblin tokens. This helps to prevent running out of steam by playing all your cheap cards and then having an empty hand
Simple question here... let's say my opponent casts Hero of Oxid Ridge and I let it resolve. I have a Shock in my hand and I am waiting for the Hero to resolve so I can kill it before it can attack and activate Battle Cry.
But instead of giving me even half a second to respond to the resolved Hero, he enters combat as soon as it's on the table and taps all his creatures, spreading Battle Cry across the board.
What's the proper play order here? Am I able to cast Shock at his Hero before he goes into combat? Am I allowed to say "before you go into combat... I'm gonna do this" even though he's already started tapping his attackers, or am I out of luck and have to deal with the Battle Cry effect? Does the player who played the creature with haste still have priority and is able to declare his or her attackers before I'm able to respond to a resolved Hero?
Or did I simply screw up and I should've just cast Shock as soon as I saw the Hero hit the table? (I didn't have much time, his fingers never left the card and he immediately tapped the Hero and all his other creatures as soon as he hit the table)

My sideboard needs some help though. Ratchet Bomb is to counter the token deck, and Steel Sabotage is to counter Grafdigger's Cage. I was actually kind of thinking of using Phantasmal Image for my 2-drop slot to copy a zombie lord, a titan, or as a defensive copy against Geist of Saint Traft.

Another version of this deck, with a bit more focus on the goblins. This one has had more testing and seems to be a much bigger threat:

4x Goblin Arsonist
4x Memnite
3x Signal Pest
4x Goblin Wardriver

I'd be interested in playtesting that, actually. This is probably the change I would make in that case:
-1 Spikeshot Elder
-2 Grim Lavamancer
+3 Perilous Myr
In the meantime, I'm going to keep testing the current build.
4x Goblin Chieftain
4x Goblin Wardriver
4x Spikeshot Elder
4x Memnite
4x Signal Pest
3x Hero of Oxid Ridge

I assume it's different for planeswalkers, though, right?
