in order for chain lighting to be copied, it needs to deal damage first.
cast chain lightning
chain lightning resolves
deals 3 to opponent
copy "triggers" (not an actual trigger, just next part of the spell)
opponet can pay or not pay
spell ends resolving, and goes to yard.
if opponent paid, chain lightning goes on the stack.
i am pretty sure that is how it works.
idk if sba are checked between spells, but regardless opponent will die before you will, with or without the last chain lightnight on the stack.
can I play magical hack on a taiga turning the text from forest to mountain? I know this worked back in 1998, not sure with the new updates on dual lands.

I dont think this is right. I fyou have 4 devotion, thassa will enter as an enchantment. Once thassa is on the field, it will become a creature. I do not think it it evolve your raptor, since it is not a creature when it enters the field.
Can tap Mangara of Corondor, targeting an opponents permanet. With the ability on the stack, i return Mangara of Corondor to my hand. Will the other permanent be exiled?
There's a guy at an LGS near me that runs American Control with Aetherling as his finisher. It's an incredible pain in the ass. I'm considering dropping CoDH for Slaughter Games just for this matchup. We end up near the top of the standings every week, so sculpting my board to beat him isn't too crazy. I had Appetite in the SB for a long time, but no one in my meta plays Reanimator (literally, not even a single deck, and even before Ooze scared the deck away), so it often just sat in the board looking forlorn. But SG has potential utility for a number of problem cards (Sphinx's and Burning Earth also leap to mind), so I'm going to give it a go.
i have used pithing needle to deal with Aetherling. its one mana an can be used vs other decks as well.

Serra Angel attacks, and is blocked by Angel of Thune. The creatures deal damage to each other.
Will angel of thune get a +1/+1 counter prior of being check to see if the 4 damage marked on it will kill it.
