I see. Because a third party software I am testing decks with, I get to play opponent's turn first. So I wanted to clarify before reporting if it is bugged.
Originally it's -2 Abzan charm -2 lingering souls, +2 voice of resurgence +2 dismember
Trying out Abzan charm. Was told that voice isn't that great but lingering souls are better
Might go back to dismember if Abzan charm isn't good. Although there is a few times Abzan charm versatility is better.
My reasoning behind this built.
After much testing, I come to a conclusion that I want to make the Abzan built as close to Jund as possible. That means splitting the interactive spells to threat ratio to about 1:1 or in this case 18 to 18.
Another theory I want to prove is to be able to cast multiple spells per turn. This means keeping all spells basically below 4 CMC. As you notice, all spells are all naturally below 4. Man land cost 4 (3 to activate plus attacking itself). This allows me to mulligan less hands and not draw too many clunky cards.
I personally feel that knight of the reliquary is bonkers. Easily 4/4 for 3 with the ability to search for lands and thinning the deck. It demands immediate answer.
Unlike aggro deck, Knight of the reliquary isn't always necessary to attack, but to be able to utilise her ability of searching lands, thinning deck, and generating extra mana for that particular turn to cast another spell or to search for utility lands.
I design the sideboard with the same ideology, to keep CMC below 4 as much as possible.
The only exception is Sigarda, which I feel it is a critical threat against mirror, Jund and tron.
Affinity, lantern, burn are hard match up which is why there are more stony silence, kitchen finks and Dromoka's command.
I settled 3 slots that is able to handle graveyard strategies.
Can someone advise what is my byes status as I planning to go to Philipines GP on Jan 2015 and Singapore in June 2015? I am kinda confused with the new system kicking in.
My yearly PWP from March 2013 to June 2014 is 1500 points
My yearly PWP from June 2014 - June 2015 currently is 198 points.
Based on the new system, how do I get byes for both Philipines and Singapore GP? (Apart from winning GPT) using the current PWP system.
Hi, I have a rule question based on EDH (commander)
Supposed I cast polymorph on child of alara, and polymorph destroys child of alara, do I have to decide whether child goes to graveyard or commander zone first, or do I resolve the entire polymorph spell before deciding whether child of alara goes graveyard or commander zone.
Cause if I can resolve the entire polymorph first, I could able to see what creature I get before deciding whether to trigger child's ability or not, which can be advantageous. So wanted to be clear.
I like to know is it mandatory to choose a legal target when I control opponent's turn with Emrakul, the Promised End and cast stasis snare.
Local judges has been telling me I can choose not to target, which is strange since there isn't a "may" clause.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Do I play my turn first, or opponent's turn?
If My opponent flashes in Reflector mage during my turn and bounce Archangel Avacyn, can I still flash in Avacyn during my opponent's turn?
Without Jace, the deck becomes less consistent, like it or not, it is crucial.
