I am betting this is going to run as a pseudo Kuldotha deck. Should there also be 0 drops like Memnite added? And maybe even Kuldotha Rebirth itself?
I could see that. However, wouldn't it just become Kuldotha Red with Curse of Stalked Prey thrown in?
Also, I'm wondering how it would play out. Would you want to drop the curse T2 or would you rather drop 2 1cc threats? I guess if you were running Kuldotha Rebirth you would:
No, he doesn't have a function. We talked about this already. If you have three creatures on the board to make a fourth one, you're doing something wrong, even in mono-black.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about Bloodgift Demon, not the Priest.
EDIT: this is in response to Everycolorbutredisbroken's post
suppose you could. both would work well with grand architect . You wouldnt really need tutors with 8 cards that can enable your maniac, but Fabricate can tutor both as well.
With 4 mirror, 4 leveler, and a few fabricate, the biggest thing you have to worry about is how to reliably draw/tutor the maniac (and then of course set off the combo without him eating some instant-speed removal).
Mirror of fate is the way to go, not leveler. You can choose when to exile your library and not have to worry about being blown out if your maniac somehow dies. Heck you could even sac the mirror during upkeep and exile your library right before you draw. I dont know why leveler went nuts in price and this did not.
So far I haven't had any problems with mana since my most expensive card is 4. I'm looking for some improvements to make it a bit more competitive.
I'm also trying to keep it within the current block as well as Core 2011 so that it doesn't become illegal once the next set (after 2012) comes out. I won't have to rebuild it as much, and I have barely any cards from Worldwake/Zendikar/Eldrazi so I don't really want to buy any.
Let me know what you all think, don't bother going easy

T1 Memnite -> Kuldotha Rebirth
T2 drop curse and put counters on all of your goblins
Volt Charge also sounds like a pretty good addition - it is 3 mana, but if you're gonna add in Stormblood Berserker it gets even more valuable.
then it could go:
T1 Memnite -> Kuldotha Rebirth
T2 drop curse and put counters on all of your goblins (3 dmg)
T3 Volt Charge + swing (12 dmg)
T4 swinging for 9
Edit: The biggest problem i see for this deck is that gut shot is already being mainboarded by a bunch of decks :/
The deck box art is good, but doesn't really stand out.
The Sorin art is pretty cool though, and finally they left off the stupid "hey look, I'm a vampire!" blood running down the side of his mouth.
Debatable...
On topic: I like the U/R better - it just looks like more fun even if it is a bit inconsistent.
