It really depends on what you're running, if you're running for example Naya, you prob want something like Increasing Savagery, because you have, more or less, not that many creatures. But if you're running somthing like Bant, i would run Revenge. It just makes more sense with Bant, because you'll be swinging in for more (Potentionally).

Force removal with the angel if against control, swing with Smiter that turn. next turn play a Sliverblade paladin on smiter or angel or just leave it un bounded. It all depends on how many cards said players have and what the bored is.

  • posted a message on [Single Card Discussion] Revenge of the Hunted
I've been experimenting with this deck for a while now, and from what i've seen in every single deck variation, i've never been sad to draw Revenge of the Hunted. Its power to make everything block 1 single creature, and then STILL do damage and STILL live makes it like ZOMG!!! Put it on anything? Like a 1 Drop avacyn's pilgrim or Arbor Elf turn 2 (If miracled)? Or just save it, when facing creature decks like Jund or Zombies, and you just wiped the board for ya. to me, this card in this set is just making wonder's happen. Miracles Wink if one would say :3 I wanted to know if anyone else has been running this card, because it has worked amazing for me. Against almost every creature heavy deck out there atm.

Reading First page, I am and still am a avid G/W Human Fan. Need to bring up some points, (Didn't see the other 2 pages) alot of the cards suggestions, such as the Angel of Hope, is bad. Thought it may seem good, your gonna need 8 mana. And by that time you going to lose the game. Just as an example. Really anything over 4 or 5 in this deck, is just out. So anything higher is just bad. This is because this deck HAS to and i mean HAS TO play full out turn 1. Because other control decks, such as Red Deck Wins, and B/W Tokens destroy this deck. The reason is because we run off of key cards. Mayor, and Hero. If a good player is good, they will save things for Hero, and Mayor, and just get rid of them. That and Champion.

Its a good deck, i've won alot of games, but it just lost its potential. Really i think decks like Naya Pod and R/W Humans are better now. Just at thought.

Edit: I ran Deragned outcast btw for 3 months. It really hard to use, since your playing a creature every turn. If you aren't then your doing something wrong. Also beside tokens everything plays a very signifigant role in the deck. So there really isn't anything to sac : / Its good maybe turn 4 and thats about it

  • posted a message on R/W Aggro Ideas (Primer)
I was watching Block Constructed, and some people were talking about R/W Aggro. I was very interested in it, since I run both G/W Humans and Naya Pod. I have some ideas for the deck, and I posted it in the Standard forums. Sadly not competitive. So thought I would bring it here for discussion. I feel that this will only get better because you literally can win turn 4. So here are some thoughts on cards for the deck.
Also here is a rough draft of the Deck. Instead of going full humans, you try to go Full Aggro. But the Human route of this also seems really good. I'm going to try out both.

    For 4 Drops:

The only Land that I see this using is Slayers stronghold .
The point of the deck is to pretty much deal enough damage to make them scoop turn 4. This deck, also has some spot removal such as Brimstone Volley . A card I think that would be good in this is Pillar of Flame. So whats everyone's thoughts on this deck? I think it can be pretty competitive, since you can win turn 4-6.

Oh yeah, Silverblade totally made a stand-alone, protection from black and green, double striking creature for the same mana cost totally useless. Rolleyes Not to mention, Mirran Crusader is NOWHERE to be found in your OP, so no, you didn't mention it.

Slayers' Stronghold also doesn't die to every form of removal ever, and also provides 2 power, which is way more than anything Lightning Mauler is going to bring to the table.

Please tell me you are trolling?

My Meta must be much different from yours. Atm, at my store, W/B tokens, Delver, W/U Control, and Birthing Pod is really the only thing played at my store. And even when I face Black, Black sun Zenith, or Doj makes my life miserable. So yeah, I find Mirran Crusader not as great as Sliverblade Paladin .

Edit: Btw I thought I did mention Mirran Crusader... Sorry

Also tell me, would you REALLY WASTE REMOVAL... On a Lightning Mauler... The point of Mauler, is for me to place it down, and then drop a bomb next turn to swing. I can see what your saying, +2/0, Haste, Viligance what's not to love? Its hard to mana fix that crap. I only have 1 and i'm thinking of leaving it at 1, since I need to hit every single land properly for this to fly well. Also Mauler is a Human, gives a +1 to champion. Its more utility then anything... Btw I do have cavern of souls, just so you won't complain about that Slant

Come on, man. This is the Competitive forums. You can't even figure out how to use decktags? Really?

I don't know that this deck is playable. It seems like a bad version of Boros Humans. Vexing Devil also isn't that magnificent of a card, and certainly isn't better in the 1cc slot than Stromkirk Noble. Lightning Mauler is also super pointless, especially with Slayers' Stronghold being a thing.

There's also no reason not to be running Mirran Crusader and 4 Hero of Bladehold.

K sorry, I was actually just throwing ideas around. This isn't a deck Slant Thus no deck list etc. I wanted to hear everyone's opinion on cards that are able to go into a R/W Agrro Deck. From what im reading, everyone is disliking Vexing Devil because on turn 1 it deals 4 damage... That is still 4 damage turn 1 tbh. Though it might die, you can't even get 4 damage on someone turn 1... Also why is Lightning Mauler useless? Slayers Stronghold is 3 land instead of 2. You also, can put out a Lightning Mauler turn 2, and then put down a sliverblade. I have Mirran Crusader btw, in () because I have no idea what everyone ideas on it. tbh i think its useless now, with Sliver blade.

  • posted a message on R/W Aggro Deck?
So recently I have been messing around with Naya. I'm finding it to be rather good, but the amount of times I wish i could just stomp out turn 4 would be great. Seeing that r/w is rather good, and works well, i was wondering what's everyone's thoughts on it. The Highest costing card would be Zelous Conscripts. Thougth im still brewing it over, this is my current thought on it.

Edit: ALSO THIS IS NOT A DECK... My bad sorry, should have been IDEAS...

    1 Drops:
    x4 Vexing Devil
    x4 Champion of the Parish
    (Stormkirk Noble?)

    2 Drops
    x4 Gather the Townsfolk
    x2 Lightning Mauler
    x3-4 Honer of the Pure

    3 Drops
    x3-4 Sliverblade Palidain
    (Fiend Hunter?)
    (O-Ring?)

    4 Drops
    x3 Hero of Bladehold

    5 Drops
    x3 Zelous Conscripts

These are the cards Ik i'll have along with cavern and stronghold (1-2). This really isn't a deck just some thoughts on it. The Idea is to win BY turn 4-6. Or even sooner if you can.

In my personal opinion, not worth it atm going Naya Humans. Unless go pretty much all white, with a splash of both green and red, or go heavy g/r with small amount of white. Even then its still not that good. I think if you moved from Humans in Naya altogether it would be good (Not saying get rid of all the humans in the deck im saying as an archtype). And what's everyone's thought on the Meta of Control? It just looks really strong in my eyes, with things like Ponder, and things to see ahead in your deck.
