You can sell 2 Liliana and 4 IOK to CardKingdom for credit and only be about 10 bucks short of the tropical. Should not be hard to find 10 more dollars in cards to send in with them.

The problem with CK is that they charge tax on store credit purchases.

You must be in state. I sell to them all the time for credit to fund new decks or move cards that spiked. I never get charged sales tax. Do you live in Seattle?

I help a buddy break about 120 boxes per set and he tells me he runs about 1.4 foil mythics per case. (This is not math just personal box opening) He could just be lucky but has been tracking this since Scars of Mirrodin.

You can see what Minowara is true by looking at Khans. So many packs were open to find fetchlands that a card like Siege Rhino (played in both modern and standard) is a 5 dollar card. I am going to agree that these expeditions are going to crush the value at the rare slot and below. It will be the Modern Masters goyf lottery only not at 10 bucks a pack.

I am very active on the buy lists and CardKingdom has some of the best prices around. I have noticed in the past few months the turn around both buying and selling has slowed down. I'm curious if this is volume issue.

I don't understand wizards policy of not reprinting staples not on the reserved list. Why has force of will, or the above mentioned mana drain or any other popular non reserved cards not been reprinted? Where is the logic in that?

Force of Will was reprinted as a judge promo last year. Mana Drain is banned in Legacy so a reprint does nothing for the format.

What's the correlation here because I don't understand your comparison. Fist of Suns fell off pretty quickly after being hyped by Travis Woo over a year ago.

Well, it still went from .25 bulk to $3.

It was never $0.25 bulk. More like $2 bulk rare.

That card was printed in 2004... MTGSTOCKS only tracks from 2012. It may have been bulk before but that chart does not prove or disprove.

You sound like 2012 was not that long ago and to be fair it wasn't, but MTGStocks is one of the first online price graph tools for MTG cards. When you mention Fist was printed in 2004, that was still a time when MTG magazines were the go-to price catalogs. And it's not like Fist has been gaining a little bit since it's last spike; it's been declining downwards slowly but surely according to MTGStocks.

No I make it sound like the link you posted does not support your statement. Was it bulk at one point or not? Who knows? You are calling someone out based on a graph that only goes back to 2012. The card was printed 8 years before that. Is a $1.75 gain out of the question in that time period?

I price memory alone keeps Fist of Suns afloat, I really doubt we'll see NM Scalding Tarn for under $80 until it's reprinted.

I mean, that might not actually be true. The only decks in Legacy that run Tagia are the occasional Jund and Lands lists, and those lists ALSO run Burnwillows, and often in a higher concentration (since you can always fetch up your Taiga but it's harder to find Grove and you need it for Punishing Fire). So it's already almost 3x as popular in Legacy as Taiga is, and then it has more than 5x as many top8 copies played in modern than it does in Legacy, for overall a more than 15x as many copies played in recent top 8's for any format.

When Taiga is mentioned Belcher must be mentioned. "Do you have force?".... Ok you win.

From what I understand if the box has an A at the end of the barcode, it is a first printing.

What do you think is the most powerful deck that still adheres to the social agreement of edh, ie. no infinite combo, mass land destruction, ect.

I'm just curious what people think is the most powerful type of deck you can make in edh without being "that guy"

Gilt-Leaf Palace buyout on the big sites has happened. Haven't checked TCG player.

There were a lot more copies available on SCG this morning before they raised their prices to $3.99 NM/$3.39 SP. What other sites are you looking at? CFB is sold out, and Wildfire's already noted TCG.

    CardKingdom, Capefeargames and ABUGames.

The most important thing is to be properly capitalized. Not just to buy the product and set up costs but months of expenses. Most new businesses lose money for the first few years. If you are not properly capitalized you will be one of the ones that doesn't make it.
