Still receiving lots of cards, despite lowering my bounties from 15% to 10% and from 20% t0 15% for packages worth over 2000 points. Expecting some nice staples that have been comitted in the last 5 days, such as:
I just get past a dry period, but it'S simply because my point total was so low I was not an attractive sending partner. Picked up again as soon as I get past 10k points.
Yah, there's certainly a magic number somewhere. I think it might be around 6k for me. last time I was over that, I had 4k of stuff sent to me in a week. I've been sitting around 4.5k for the last fortnight and had nothing (but I'm about to leap back over that 6k figure... I'll see what figure sets things off this time).
Reporting back to say I got hit up before my points total even moved. I was able to send some stuff out for the first time in a week or so, so I'm wondering if some of the silver/gold members are starting the use the "active traders" filter in this way, and that's what prompted it? It was a gold member who broke my duck, so...
So perhaps the trick is now 1) have a massive want list, 2) have at least a few k of points, and 3) keep sending?
Active senders is a thing? That's somewhat irritating.
How have things been for everyone here lately? I had great luck with Puca until recently. I was offering a 30% bonus on a decent chunk of cards for the last two months, with not a single card streaming in. Starting to just add some decent value cards to try and cash out (probably like many people).
Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder might be boring from a R/W design perspective, but he is probably the fastest Voltron Commander ever printed. Just pair him with Tymna the Weaver and you get a insanely fast, resilient, and grunty list.
In regards to this, I don't think that focusing two players at once is usually a good move. You have to spread your resources too thin, leave yourself open to overextension, and make all of the players at the table know you're coming for them. What you're suggesting also requires a fair level of setup. Moreover, entombing a mediocre evasion type creature is much worse than entombing and then reanimating the Iona's and Elesh Norns of the world.
I think a better pairing here would be anything else that provides some level of CA without the stipulation of attacking. The other Orzhov legend allows you to still run the great black draw spells, and maybe get some creatures back. Also a mild anthem is relevant when you're double striking. Both Izzet legends allow you to draw some cards, run countermagic, and plenty of draw spells. Hell, even the Rakdos guy is at least fun and flavorful. I think all four of those options are better than stipulating that you hit multiple players at a time and spread yourself too thin.
No no, you misunderstand.
Tymna the Weaver, at minimum, is a Phyrexian Arena in the Command Zone for a Voltron list. Voltron lists attack and deal combat damage. That's how they win...
Running Filth (and Urborg) with Tymna the Weaver, just means cards like Lingering Souls are drawing you more cards... Saying I should be entombing Iona, Shield of Emeria instead of Filth is like saying I shouldn't play Voltron and at all, because Combo is more efficient. I'm not playing a list that wants to win via Iona, I'm playing a Voltron list that wants to win by Commander damage...
The whole having two Commanders attack thing is a option, not some sort of mandate I set down. Bruse will always be the more efficient Voltron attacker and should be focused on almost exclusively, but that doesn't mean if for whatever reason you smashed someone for 7 with a Lashwrithe equipped Tymna, that you cannot then just blink, attack or recast Bruse and grant her doublestrike instead to finish the job next turn herself.
If I add Ancient Tomb to all the fast mana, you are running 8 cards that can consistently allow a turn 2 Bruse or Tymna, followed by a turn 3 Bruse or Tymna. That is lighting quick Voltron speeds.
I've played Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas for a long time. Getting her down consistently turn 3 and attacking turn 4 is awesome for a Voltron list. Potentially a whole turn earlier for Bruse? Amazing.
I don't misunderstand. If you're playing against two opponents, you're only giving ox mans double strike to one commander. If you begin killing one player more slowly, because you started focusing your efforts on another player, you're giving two players time to respond to your efforts, and now it's 2 on 1. Since you're incapable of taking out all opponents at once, you must choose the biggest threat, eliminate that player, and then choose the next biggest threat. Using bad cards for a bad strategy isn't going to make it better. Reanimating an Iona and locking the most threatening player out of the game, while eliminating them, or the next player is a more reliable way to get the damage through than crappy evasion cards, and a Phrexian Arena that relies on dealing combat damage to a player.
I won't respond in regards to the rankings posted above, as I believe they are by and large inaccurate from an "Effectiveness" standpoint.
Maelstrom man has the potential to replace or sit next to Jeleva in T1 storm lists.
Breya may prove to be a T1 or T1.5 combo list.
Simic pairing may prove to do the same.
Atraxa is probably T2 as much as I want her to be more.
Everything else has a good chance of falling much lower.

I'd throw Wheel of Fate and Ancestral Vision into the mix of considerations for cascade funtimes.
I definitely think your list of win conditions is a bit high. Ignite Memories, Sphinx Bone Wand, and Aetherflux are probably worth removing.
Could be slow, but could also generate obscene amounts of mana under lock. Give and take! Could be really good, could be awful. Probably worth testing, but I definitely think Pentad Prism is too janky.
Yeah. I don't feel that relying on the Proliferate to do anything more than light support is a sound idea.
My thought is to run Atraxa the same way I run my Thraximundar Stax deck, where the main deck and general complement each other, but neither are reliant on the other. I feel building edh decks in such a way that they can perform effectively without the general makes the deck stronger.
I mean that's essentially why Karador Boonweaver is T1, Jeleva Stax, Zur. Half of the T1 generals are just really ridiculously strong strategies, and the generals just happen to complement those strategies just enough to make them top tier. Then there's the others that are your combo pieces (Brago, Tasigur, Prossh, Derevi to some extent).
Atraxa definitely falls into the former category. Outstanding colors, and the proliferate allows for some cool interactions. Saw a few more earlier, including; Astral Cornucopia, Coalition Relic, Everflowing Chalice, Pentad Prism. Deck definitely needs to be self sustaining, and with a bit of support be OP. I imagine she can be T1 on damn near colors alone.
I enjoy her thoroughly, and I'm finding it hard to mentally commit to a strategy.
Stax locks feel ideal with her. As many have stated, the tangle wire + smokestack synergy is great.
While being resource limited, there's a few options for victory.
Combo / Infect / Planeswalkers / Reanimator
Infect: Everyone seems to be yelling Infect, and Ichor Rats will definitely do it if you can lock the table down for 9 turns (even if you yourself are locked out), but I'm not entirely convinced infect is the way to go. Combo: Nothing is a direct infinite combo with her alone, so I think it rules that out, as they are generally expensive to cast.
Planeswalkers: Certainly as another potential win con, but definitely not the primary gameplan. Any walker that has a great plus, and a decent ult should be considered.
Reanimator: I think this is where it gets complicated. We would have to dilute a decent amount of the deck for some great reanimator targets, and the pieces to use in order to get them into the yard and then bring them back. However, most BUG lists run this in some regard. Dropping a T1 or T2 reanimate on Jin Gitaxis is usually game. And now we have access to Iona + Norn? Moreover, with the added ability from white for more Stax pieces and reanimation, I don't think this is something we should look past.
I could see myself using the best mana dorks and the best mana rocks, and not necessarily committing to one or the other.
With that said, some cuts / questions: Future Site is a fine card, but doesn't push us towards victory, and is expensive. Aura Shards feels weak with so few creatures and token generators. Gaea's Cradle will likely seldom tap for more than {G} Venser the Sojunoer's + is mostly only viable under stasis lock. His - is mostly irrelevant, and the ultimate isn't even an instant win. Tamiyo, Field Researcher Three relevant abilities, but her +1 will likely only be drawing you one card, and potentially convincing someone else to not attack with a creature / not block. Doubtful she will draw you two, so she's not 100%, but still solid. Liliana of the viel I feel like she's only good under lock or with more of a reanimation package. But I'm bad. Starfield of Nyx sits for a go around the table. At least we have {U} to protect it, but hrm. You've had good experience with it?
After much testing, I'm sad to admit Root Maze > Thalia, hertical cathar Doomwake giant with Humility is neat. What am I missing? Sun titan May be too expensive without reanimator.
Never used Frontier Siege. Seems not ideal.
Potential additions
Someone had mentioned a few interesting mana sources on cEDH. Druids' Repository, Mana Bloom, Gemstone Array.
Gemstone Array definitely being the worst of the three, but yay proliferate.
I see maybe four tutors in your list? Need roughly 100 more.
Remora and Study feel like they either come down early, before the tax pieces and people have the opportunity to play spells. Or they come down later, after I've broken parity, and others are having difficulty playing spells.
Just looking for a little feedback. I've been slowly making my way towards some variation of the Glix list, but I feel like I have too many things going on.
Ideally, I surmise, opening hands will consist of acceleration, stax pieces, and either draw or a tutor engine (survival, pod, etc). Far too often my opening hands are missing one of those, or have no land hands. Causing me to throw the whole pile away and start mulliganing. My meta will often tear apart my permanents if I give them the opportunity. Without much draw in the deck, if I don't lock the board within the first 1-2 turns, I'll be in top deck mode without any way to reset the board.
Some thoughts on cards I run: Mystic Snake - Thus far, I've never been stymied by my own tax pieces to counter a spell. I could just run counterspell or arcane denial in its place. I've been testing him because he's been there. Venser, Shaper Savant - Versatile enough that I've liked him. But I could see myself replacing him if something great drops in the future. Reveillark - Played a game a few weeks back where I was podding through my deck to come up with a way to break someone else's win con. Made it to mid game, and needed a five drop to get me through. The only 5 drop I have is Willbreaker, and she was in hand. I don't love lark in this deck, as this isn't what I'm looking for at near the top of my curve. But I haven't found anything better yet. Sun Titan - Similar story to above, just with 6 drops. I've been on the fence about cutting this guy for a while now. He's a mid game piece, and I should have the game by the point I'd be able to use him. Yet I have it in my head that he's going to be the card to save me if I get stuck in a bad spot. *shrug* Thalia, Heretic Cathar - I've been running her in lieu of Root Maze. Was somewhat of a meta call, as I see Brago and Azami pretty frequently. She's either been great or worthless.
Tamiyo, Field Researcher - Haven't been able to test her extensively. I really like her on paper, and wish I drew into her more. Tezzeret, the Seeker - Loved him when I was playing Bant Goodstuff, and haven't made the cut yet. The deck doesn't break off of artifact untaps, and usually his -X will just get me pod. In that sense, another tutor or additional draw may be better in his place.
Lands - I'm a little light on green, and I need green more than anything. Working on the mana base as I go. Mystic Remora - I've tested this a few times now. It usually replaces itself, and sometimes nets one card. I haven't been in love with it, but I think it needs more testing. Rhystic Study - Another card I haven't loved. Fine on paper, but if I'm winning this seems like overkill, and if I'm not winning, this certainly isn't going to keep me in it. Nature's Revolt - Budget replacement for Living Plane. Was testing for synergy with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobyte, but I've never had both in play at once. Revolt usually ends up being a dead draw unless I want a crapload of untap triggers. Unfortunately, casting this usually means tapping all my lands and not being able to attack with them. I think this will get the cut soon.
I agree with you on most of these. They're all not great cards, but they fit in better than a lot of others. The only thing I have to say, is that you're removing Tamiyo, a source of draw, with some other possibilities, for another engine. The goal is to add more, not to have the same amount. I would consider keeping Tamiyo, and finding another slot to work with in this case, but that's just me.
Pod seems like it either doesn't fit, or the chain needs to be worked a little. Can't really abuse it or copy it. What have your experiences been with it here?
Elfric, I dunno if I'd consider those engines Like you said, all slow, not abusable, one card per turn. It's interesting, they have printed both artifact and enchantment versions of Coastal Piracy, but we only have the creature version of "Any Creature" on Edric, Spymaster of Trest. If they printed a GU enchantment that said the same thing I could see us running it here, but I digress.
I can't really remember what had been mentioned previously in this post, so please don't shun me if these have already been beaten to death. There's only a few options I could really consider here, other than the aforementioned Mentor or Archivist. Tezzeret, the Seeker - Extra untaps out of pod, and mana pieces, plus tutors for pod or mana. The only `nonbo` is it's another spell that can't be cast under Teeg, and your list runs a few more of those than mine. Rhystic Study - I think I recall you saying that you didn't like this, because you weren't casting this early to prevent your opponents from casting spells, and then you're paying a lot for it after your taxers are up. I can dig it. Still think it's better than most other options available. Mystic Remora - I'm not sold on this, but I recently re-added after hearing NarJED's experience with the card. Definitely worth dumping it T1-T2 if it may net a few cards, then just letting it die. Way up in the air for me though, haven't had a chance to re playtest after more recent renditions of my list. Yisan, the Wanderer Bard - Since he puts the creature on to the battlefield, he evades taxes. Definitely feels stronger than Sisay all times I've used him. He requires mana for activation, so a Gaea's Cradle, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Bloom Tender, or similar are necessary. Getting multiple activations out of him a turn is simply backbreaking. I would strongly consider putting him in.
Just go ahead and throw my wants on your list and then send them my way plz
Active senders is a thing? That's somewhat irritating.

Some things I need to acquire or test:
Mana Vault - A decent replacement for the Mox I'm missing.
Loyal Retainers + Jin Gitaxis, Core Augur is something I've wanted to try to make Survival of the Fittest feel more worthwhile.
I've been considering Seedborn Muse as a means to break Captain Sisay or Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, but it's hard to abuse otherwise.
Glowrider, Static Orb, and Sphere of Resistance as other taxers.
Eidolon of Rhetoric style cards.
Carpet of Flowers
Additionally, I keep reading about the eggs. What are they played in?
