    He's on the actual Hasbro website and not the toy shop. Been trolling both websites for 3 days now almost nonstop and no such luck. I keep thinking it's going to be tomorrow if they even have anymore. I figure they'll take today and yesterday to clean up and inventory, then they'll start posting all their leftovers either tonight or tomorrow....just my 2 cents

    I'm on hasbrotoyshop and all I see are also 5 non-related Magic items.

    Hydra is God, Removal is Non-Existent, What's a counterspell? You win. $100 Each please!

    Good one. Creative.
    But you could make the same statement about almost every creature in the game.

    I love all the blanketing assessments. You have to weigh risk vs. reward. For her time BSA was absolutely dominate on both offense and defense, being able to signle-handedly stabilize a board state or swing for net 10 life through the air. The risk of her dying outweighed the reward on both ends. Plus, like I said, she died to less removal (dodged all damage based removal). It's funny watching people make the comparison because I automatically know they never played with her.

    That's funny, cause I have played her tons.
    I'd say the risk of hydra dying is well worth it, since the reward is a defeated opponent.

    Most of you guys clearly are not getting it. BSA is an amazing creature, I completely agree with that.

    My qualm with most of you here is that you can't give me a real reason why this hydra is bad. The only real argument I see is people trying to point out which removal spells the hydra dies to. Which is funny, because they are the same removal spells BSA dies to.

    BSA was so great because you played her, and she had an immediate impact on the field. So does the hydra. Play the hydra, if you untap with it, your chances of losing the game just decreased by lots. Same with BSA.
    The angel made your opponents second guess their attacks and their blocks. So does the hydra. I'd say the two cards have plenty in common.

    When she hit the field, her lifelink would keep your opponent at bay. Her First strike combo allowed you to in effect have the ability to gain life prior to be beat up by the opposing horde.

    The point I'm trying to make is;

    None of your points are relevant against *GASP*

    Doom Blade.

    Someone brought up a very good point in another thread. I hope he doesn't mind me quoting him.

    In response to "what if nothing better is printed in Theros".

    Same thing could have been said about BSA. She doesn't have haste, you can "waste" 5 mana playing her, and I can Doom Blade her.

    I guess by that logic, she was a poor creature as well?

    I would like to point out as a storyline nerd that WoTC ignored Nicol Bolas throughout the RtR storyline-- so it's likely that he has some influence over the events bound to take place on Theros. Assuming there are 'Gods' on Theros, one can safely jump to the speculation Bolas has interest in reattaining his Godhood thru means available to him on the plane, and thus possible speculation of his agents is not entirely baseless.

    Phyrexians don't show up here, Eldrazi won't likely show up here. So we're bound to have another influenced Bolas scheme running amuck

    All that being said, I would LOVE to see some card based on Zeus and the like take on the Eldrazi. Probably some of the only cards that would be able to.

    So, in short, you can imprint a split card(or if you somehow manage to get more than one instant imprinted) you can cast one, the other, or both spells, and X mana = corresponding CMC for whatever combination you choose.

    I dont think so. Again, from the M14 FAQ;

    If the exiled card is a split card, then is the sum of the converted mana costs of each half. However, when you cast the copy, you choose only one half to cast. You may cast a different half each time you create and cast a copy.

    If you Cascade a Breaking (Breaking/Entering) you can play Entering (Breaking/Entering)

    Also from a "equal" card rules (Isochron Scepter)
    12/1/2004: If the copied card is a split card, you may choose to cast either side of the split card, but not both. The split cards Fire/Ice, Illusion/Reality, Night/Day, Stand/Deliver, and Wax/Wane all have at least one side with converted mana cost 2 or less.)

    708.5. An effect that asks for a particular characteristic of a split card while it's in a zone other than the stack gets two answers (one for each of the split card's two halves). #

    Example: Infernal Genesis has an ability that reads, "At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player puts the top card from his or her library into his or her graveyard. He or she then puts X 1/1 black Minion creature tokens onto the battlefield, where X is that card's converted mana cost." If the top card of your library is Assault/Battery when this ability resolves, the game sees its converted mana cost as "1, and 4." You get five creature tokens.
    from this you might be correct but as you will be cating one of the halfs then you get only one CMC
    http://magiccards.info/rule/708-split-cards.html

    Don't know if this clears things up, but straight from the M14 FAQ;

    In regards to Elite Arcanist and split cards.

    If the exiled card is a split card, then is the sum of the converted mana costs of each half. However, when you cast the copy, you choose only one half to cast. You may cast a different half each time you create and cast a copy.

    You know how black tutors hardly ever say to reveal the card taken? The reason why you need to reveal cards usually is to show the opponent that you weren't cheating by searching for a "Creature card" with worldly tutor and actually nabbing a Lightning bolt. In black tutors like Demonic tutor, there's no way you can cheat when the card you Brought from your deck is 100% "a card." Same with this card, is the top card is a land you put it onto the battlefield because the opponent will see that you cheated if you suddenly put Emrakul, Aeons Tornon the battlefield with it, claiming it was a land. So if an opponent has a way to kill you if you got another land, you could choose to not reveal the plains that you found at the top of your library so he doesnt kill you with the chaotic backlash that is in his hand and add it to your hand.

    Even though the last bit you posted there is a bad example, since lands have no color.
