Hmm i understand that this deck is sorta on the line between tempo and control. But the reason its in there is because i have a combo heavy meta, which makes red elemental blast a very attractive sideboard card for me. Should i just 1 run volcanic island maindeck and the pyroblasts SB?
Hey guys, i'm currently saving up and i'm just about on the cusp of being able to buy into legacy. I know i want to play stoneblade in some form, and after some playtesting i've settled on UWR Stoneblade. Here's the list i've been playtesting:
I haven't fully figured out what my sideboard is going to be but i know it will have 3 or 4 pyroblasts which was a big motivation for splashing red in this deck. Hey guys i wanted to build a deck around this card, i will primarily be playing it in multiplayer so this deck if anything else is just going to be a griefer deck. Im looking for cards that combo well with donate. Im aware of cards like illusions of grandeur but are there others that make the opponent to silly things? This deck will also be running 4xjinxed idol and 4xavarice totem. Again im looking for cards that combo well with donate, this is far from a serious deck. I just want to see what shenanigans a few jinxed idols, avarice totems, and donated permanents can do to multiplayer game.
Since most of my replies indicate that i need more card drawing i have re-tooled my deck accordingly. There are now 18 cards in this deck that will make me draw cards in some form or other. biggest additions are Fact or Fiction and Gifts ungiven. Really like the mechanic of those two, wonder how i missed em earlier. Anyway what do you think?
I think you need some draw (I'm not of the opinion that baby jace is enough, and i've never found him reliable or strong enough as my source of card advantage. I also dislike that concentrate is a sorcery). Words of Wisdom and Impulse are very good (words is non-standard, but but i've found it to be great). Look for instant speed and low mana cost. Thirst for Knowledge and brainstorm are also solid. Think twice is decent, and telling time is good
Exclude and repulse are two cards you may want to look into. they both provide an enormous advantage with their cheap cantrip add-on.
if you threw in lanlowar elves and a few other cards like it you could make this card feasiblemyr superion. This card intrigued me when i first saw it and id imagine if it works anywhere its in an elf deck. I mean its a 5/6 for two mana As for too low of a land count, when i run white weenie i like running 22 lands... I found that to be a sweetspot for me at least.
Great land, but probably as a 2 of. Fair enough, on aggro and such. You might be a little too heavy on finishers and low on control, now that I think about it.
Hmm ok i thought id trimmed the creatures down enough, but apparently not. Akroma is there because i pretty much love her to death. Baneslayers are there as a finisher/stabalizer, and eternals are there for land fetch and their ability to survive friendly fire(i.e. my wraths.) Decree is there to produce soldiers that can either win or just chump block till i draw cards i need. What would you cut/add?

Mystic Gate is decently cheap, and IMO is better than the refuge. And I assume you meant Akroma's Vengeance, are 6 wraths really necessary? Plus if you added in O-Ring, you'd just give them back a card after A'sV. Of course, you could play it on your own cards, then wrath, then have something
Well ive really only tested this deck against aggro so thats why this deck is loaded with destruction. Once i play other decks i may sub them out for something else. The gate sounds good but how does celestial colonnade sounds. Dual land and a last ditch win con/emergency blocker.
I would drop Temple to just 2 or 3 copies, it doesn't do anything if it's early game. You could then add a fourth counterspell and maybe another copy of a finisher or spell. Not sure the refuges are necessary, you have BSA's lifelink after all.

I initially read the abilities i was like oh, another akroma kinda deal, then i saw the cc and my jaw dropped. the last really killer angel i remember was exalted angel, but this thing totally blows her away. I heard they were $50ish at one point... Sheesh. And ya dropping a temple sounds helpful. I would sub in a counterspell or another land not sure yet... As for the sejiris they aren't there for the 1 life. They serve as dual lands which i need to play cards like counterspell which rely solely on blue mana. I also was thinking about removal cards like o-ring or path to exile, just couldn't find room for em.
Hey guys, just recently got back into magic(left during mirrodin block) and i have a rough draft of what i have so far. It started as an onslaught era u/w control and i updated it with more recent cards i found. Ideally i want this deck to be casual and semi-competitive. I wont be going to tournaments or anything but there are a weekly meetings with fairly serious players. As for your reccomendations, try to keep the price down.
